The movie Midway recently came out over the weekend of November 8th. The director, Roland Emmerich brought the historical event that we know as Midway to the big screen. I personally thought the movie was beautiful shot, and the actors they chose to portray the war heroes was perfectly cast. This movie makes you fall in love with each character, where it is hard to see them die. Even the color scheme gave an extra fascination to the movie. If you haven't already, I recommend going and seeing Midway before it leaves theaters.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. Most war movies take on a very dark color pallet and I found it very refreshing that this movie didn't go for that. The blues of the ocean and sky sharply contrasted everything else happening.
