Robert Rauschenberg

Over spring break I was able to see a couple pieces by one of my favorite contemporary artists Robert Rauschenberg at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. His work is usually mixed media that incorporates everything from paint to matresses to taxidermied goats. His work was was part of the expressionist art movement in the 1950s that anticipated the pop art movement of the 1960s. These are a couple pictures I took of two works the first named "Rubus" and the second "Bed. It was difficult to capture all the details of the pieces in just one picture but I did my best. Enjoy!
Here is a double exposure that looks like it was shot with film. I love the vintage look

Cool HDR

Since we are doing a HDR photography project now i thought id post this, because i think its really cool to take something we see all the time, like a house cat, and see all the highlights and shadows you don't always notice.

Why I suck at Illustrator , a memoir by me .

Here lately I've been super into oil pastels and I found this picture & I saw the strange similarities between illustrator and drawing, lol ,Shields , maybe the reason I suck at illustrator (jar) is because I suck at drawing ??? The world may never know .

Sam Parrett earns a National Silver Medal

Congratulations to Sam Parrett!  It was announced today that Sam won a Scholastic Art & Writing National Silver Medal for his animation Sarge Tree Defender . This year the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards received over 255,000 submissions. Only 1% received National recognition. There were only 31 national awards given in the Film & Animation category.  It is an amazing accomplishment! Sam is invited to receive his award at a special awards ceremony in NYC.  The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards will also webcast the National Ceremony live from Carnegie Hall on June 6 at 6:00 p.m. ET.   Congratulations Sam!

Interesting Carving

Check out this carving that has been designed to look like a glitch.

Photographs of sand in water by Sylvain Meyer

This is an incredibly long exposure of sand running through water, I thought it was beautiful the way the sand looks like gold. Click here for more photos.

Double Exposure

I thought this was a sick double exposure because of the setting she is in and how the city is like it's out the window. I really like the tinting at the bottom. Ok sweet

new car

this mite be a car in the improved animation for bpa i feel like its a little to complex butit would look bad if it was to simple so i like it as it is but im still going to make some changes though

Amazing Photoshop

Heres an example of something different you can do to images in photoshop. Theres always different techniques that can be made or produced in photoshop and I would love to learn how to do this

Morgan Freeman Typography Illustration

Just to go along with our most recent project, here's another example. This is by far my favorite one I've seen - the attention to detail is ridiculous. The artist said this took 150+ hours to create.
This is an HDR photo  taken from the Sears Tower in Chicago. I love the contrast of the lights in the city, and the sky. I think having both  the sky and city really make this photo, I don't think it would be the same if it was one without the other.

Cool Winter Picture

This is a cool way to spend your snow day. Take a picture of trees covered in snow

Weird things in India

I wanna talk about the country, India for this week blog because I think this country is full of weird things that American don't know. First, I posted this picture last year. This picture above explain that the average of people die per year in India is about 1.5 million. Most of them died from falling out of train. Some of them try to switch their train as the other train goes by by jumping across. India had an average of 6 hours out of electricity per day. This picture will explain everything. The population of India is too large and many poor people try to steal electricity by connect a wire to the near by electric pole. As I said, India has an average of 6 hours per day out of electricity, some places like playground will not work during that time. So, they use man power to work that out. Watch the video below, or click on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KRyvLerM2w I wanna say that India, this country is colorful. There's a people who use his hand
