so i like this picture because it is great to look at and if this creature type thing was real, life would be great. and it also seems flawless from a photoshop standpoint and not making any errors.

HDR

Hey guys heres my dad swaggin in this hdr photo comment what you guys think ily!
Although i am not quite sure what i want to spend the rest of my life doing, i do know i'd like to work for Burton Snowboards. Last year was the first time i ever went snowboarding, since then i've been addicted.

Light Graffiti

This was the most recent thing I did for our light graffiti project. I used one of my little sisters and traced them and got a really cool glare from the laser pointer

20 artists who do light graffiti

On this website  there are 20 artists who do light graffiti and I thought it might be helpful since we are doing light graffiti at the moment. There are some really cool examples and pieces of their work on there too. I really like this dinosaur one the best, I like the fact that the background is still showing.
This week, we're working on HDR which is High Dynamic Ranger photos
Working on some light graffiti, here is one of mine so far. The idea was angel wings with a halo, I still think its awesome, whatever it turned out to be.

Light it up

We are doing light graffiti and i really like the idea and the way that it creates something pretty. These are some of mine that I did over sprinter break. I used christmas lights and a glowstick to really create something cool. I really enjoy this project.
Digital art is something that I take great interest in and these are two wonderful pieces that I found. With digital art, you have the opportunity to change brush strokes and over all styles of the art you're making. With these two paintings, the artist chose to create a more traditional medium look, maybe even fooling some people into thinking they were done with real paints and a canvas. This is my favorite look for drawings, and I've noticed that nearly all concept art for things like video games and movies are done in this style (I love looking at the concept art).

HDR Practice Photo

This is my HDR practice photo taken in the sweat-scented wrestling room. I like how the HDR program allowed me to give the photo a dark, washed-out look.
Hey guys! I thought these pictures were really cool because it shows the difference between a regular photograph, and a picture using HDR. I like that we can see how drastic the change between the two pictures.

Kyle Thompson: Pizza Delivery Guy

Hi :) I find these creative portraits by  photographer Kyle Thompson really interesting.  He actually had a job delivering pizzas before his photos went viral and he quit his job to pursue photography (smart choice in my opinion). Each photo makes me happy because they all capture something that in real life would not be possible without Photoshop. These are the kind of pictures that make me realize just how lucky we are to have the technology we do. We have the tools to create amazing things that we could never have created twenty years ago.                                                                                                                    ~Mackenzie

10K Timelapse

Each individual frame measures 10328x7760 pixels, or 80 megapixels.. It's jaw dropping..... Each shot sequence starts off with the full resolution footage scaled down to fit within a 1920x1080 resolution (14% scale). The next shot in each shot sequence is the full resolution shot scaled to 50%, so basically zooming in quite a bit. From there we go into the full resolution shot scaled to 100%, which is an extreme zoom/crop. As you can see, the quality and detail holds up extremely well, it’s pretty amazing. This guy, Joe Capra,  wanted to show a couple things with this demo video. First, the extreme resolution of this camera (and medium format in general). Second, the amazing amount of flexibility this resolution allows for in post production. You can literally get about 8-10 solid 1920x1080 shots out of a single shot. You can also get about 5-6 solid 4K shots out of a single shot.

Contour Line Floor

Ok, I'm very unsure if I think this is cool or a little scary. This is a regular floor, but what makes it looks like it has dips in the floor is because of the lines.

Musical Scores

I believe that the musical score is what makes a movie. It can bring suspense and happiness and romance into scenes that wouldn't have those traits without music. Today, most of our music isn't quite the same as it used to be; it is sounds generated by computers. The age of music made from real instruments is dying. This video shows what a musical score made by real musicians and real instruments can do. Please don't let this die. https://vimeo.com/116562391
I love the creativity of this light graffiti piece. The idea that the paintbrush can be used for more than paint, but to spread light is pretty fascinating to me. It shows that an object can be used for multiple uses, and to create such an interesting and thought provoking piece of art.

Cataclysm Happens ~ Evgeny Kazantsev

These are so cool. These are such amazing moments and the picture capture the beauty in each one. The colors of these pictures are so beautiful. I feel like I'm experiencing the moment with the photographer. The photographer's name is Evgeny Kazantsev and you can look at more of his stuff here.

Car Lights

I've really started to enjoy the concept of light exposure since we've started it in class. Using light is such an interesting way to display art pieces. I found this photograph on Pinterest that used car lights and other surrounding city lights. Light exposure is different from other types of photography in the way that if you take the same picture from the same angle, but use a different type of light on it, it will always be different. I started experimenting with car lights the other day and have loved the results!
HDR photos are a great thing! I like that this photo  shows a great color variation which makes the features of the car really stand out. It almost looks like the car is fake! That's how bright and sort of unrealistic the colors are!
Our latest project, Silhouette Typography, has me noticing it very frequently in stores and images. It is really cool to manipulate words in order to add meaning to a image.

Human Painting

Alexa Meade is an artist who uses the human body as her canvas.  She paints people and photographs them, creating the illusion that they are just a 2D painting.  I have always loved the idea of creating art using humans because it's incredibly organic.  There are many great examples of her work available on the internet if you just search her name.
starting light graffiti again and I am having so many ideas on what to do. (I did not make this piece)

Mix-tapes

Okay so these are illustrations of cassettes I found on the wonderful internet. I really like the variations between the three different tapes. I also really enjoy the stroke used, it's slightly sketch-like, leaving you wondering whether the work was done in Illustrator or on paper, or a combination of both. Finally, they all really remind me of the grand movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, even though the "mix-tapes" in that movie are put on CDs.

Double Exposure Drawing

I think this is so cool. We do things like this in dma but the fact that it's drawn blows me away. Its incredibly difficult to do it in an application I can't imagine how hard it would be to think up a double exposure and execute it onto a piece of paper.
This was some original art I drew up and then went ahead and decided to get it inked.
Kayden (Kali to those who don't listen) here and this is another one of my favorite deviantart artist. This one is http://chuwenjie.deviantart.com/. Her name is Kat and she has really nice blends when it comes to hair. I love the glow of Princess Zelda in the second picture. It gives her a nice elegance to her, showing off her divinity. The facial structure she lays out is good for many anime characters and I enjoy looking at her images.

Journey

While browsing on Pinterest I saw this and thought it would be interesting to share. I really loved the text layout on this piece and I love the navy color as well. Its really cool how they incorporate pictures of traveling like the big ben, a boat, a plane, etc with the word "Journey".

Interesting Typography

Although I don't do it very often, I really enjoy looking at typography. I found this one online, for example, and I absolutely love how well the words fit into the environment. It's almost as if they're... real? Like, it fascinates me that something like this text could appear to truly belong in a photograph despite knowing better.
I like how a different perspective can show an entirely new picture.

Ariel And Eric

First of all they put two of my favorite movies into one picture! It's Ariel and Eric mix up with Jack and Sally. Looks pretty cool!

Illustrated word

were are making illustrated words in class and I found this one as a good representation of the goal. The illustration is supposed to help the reader understand the word and I feel Hang and wave do a great job of that.

Vans Custom Culture

These are the Van shoes that won last year at Vans Custom Culture. I think they are just amazing! I feel like the painting is really really well done! I  really like how they are simple but still really complex at the same time. I cant wait to start working on our vans this year.

Illustrated Word

In class we have been working on making illustrated words. I really like this one in particular because it is different materails in the world put together to make one. I think this would be a fun and creative project to do in spare time.

Smart Advertisements

I came across a post that showed a bunch of brand logos and their "hidden" messages. It reminded me of the illustrated words exercise we're doing in class. Here are some examples. On the Amazon logo, the arrow on the bottom points from the A to the Z emphasizing the fact that Amazon ships "anything from A to Z." I always knew the arrow meant that it was a shipping company, but I never noticed the fact that it pointed from A to Z. On the Tour de France logo, the "-our" and the yellow circle create a bicyclist. On the FedEx logo, there is an arrow in the negative space between the E and the X. Some of these are kind of obvious, but they're all pretty clever. They convey the meaning of the brand by using more than just words.
