Cool Typography

So I found this by searching typography in the search bar on  tumblr.com  and a TON of inspirational ideas came up (such as this illustrated word). Just thought it went along with what we're doing right now

Maya 3d

Oh sweet Jesus. Look what we have here. A flying machine, that is made in Maya! If you haven't used maya before, don't. You will throw your computer through a window. Just wanted to share this awesome picture because this takes some skill and patience to make! The textures and shapes are all crisp to a point, and the overall picture looks really smooth!

Sam Huber

I enjoy art. I love design. This year I decided to concentrate on my ability/love for design. I chose to create a new magazine that combined physics concepts with sports actions. Sports is as big a part of me as design is so to have the ability to pursue both passions is awesome. Next year I plan on attending either the University of Miami (OH) for the Interactive Media Studies Program or Full Sail University for the Sports Marketing and Media Program. Hopefully I will decide within the next two weeks. Here is a link to my website for more work and information  14shuber.wix.com/design .

Frodo

Hi, I'm Frodo. I am into cartoons as well as flash based animation. My concentration imparts on a story of two brothers on a quest for revenge across a fantasy world. I will be attending the AIMS program at Miami University and am hoping to make an impact in either the gaming or animation industry. My favorite piece I have made so far is the picture of the brothers clad in full armor going straight into the fray in a molten, distorted land (The middle one) I have work posted at  http://mrcookieface.wix.com/mr-frodo and http://s1263.photobucket.com/user/lVlalkoir/library/?sort=3&page=1

BPA Youtube video

This link shows a video that won BPA in 2012. It shows the problems with bullying and what can be done to help prevent it. I think that this group was very creative and useful with their video. I am excited to see what our Kings production team has for their video for BPA this year.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dM4geP7AYc

3D Street Art

I have really started to like street art, because they always look so realistic and some times they are so realistic that you have never guessed that it was all done with chalk. I really liked this one because it is almost like a wonder land that you could just walk into.

Stanced Lexus LFA

I found this beautiful Lexus LFA on google images. I'm not that much of a fan with the green rims though, but the bright green trees in the background somewhat make it work. The main reason why I like this car so much is the amazing high pitch note in the exhaust, if you haven't heard it yet, I feel sorry for you...

Franki Burress

Hey guys! Franki here, I like to use Illustrator to animate children. My favorite piece would be either "In the Dark" or "Double Trouble." Both are my family, "In the Dark" is a concentration using my sister. I blended the Illustrator picture with the Photoshop picture. I got an Honorable Mention for this piece. "Double Trouble" is my twin nephews. I worked on this piece last year on my own time. I hope to learn more about Illustrator to make work even easier. Also, I am going to be learning more about fashion in college. You can check more about my work here . Thanks for reading!

ME

HI my name is Ryan Maguire. I like to ART on the computer. I typically do things involving light and figure. My concentration is a compilation of pictures of people and some sort of energy represented by light. The energy may be some real energy in our world or an imaginary energy. Take a look here                                                                                  \/

Collin Cooper Senior Blog

Hola. I'm Collin. I like to draw cars. In fact, my concentration focuses on capturing the design of these beautiful machines. You can find more of my work here . I happen to be a senior in the AP DMA class. Next year, I"ll be attending DAAP to study Architecture. Stay classy.

Do-Ho Suh

This is a fabric replica of two houses, (one inside another) that the artist (Do-Ho Suh) had previously lived in. Both replicated to exact scale. I thought this was rad because he had to measure the house itself, the doorways & the windows . It just shows you that art may be hard but in the end it pays off somehow .

A photo I took let me know if you like it

Landon Senior Blog

My name is Dominic Landon. I like to draw and make videos. My favorite concentration piece is where my character, the hero, fights the villain in the sewers. I’ve been exploring more on shadows and detailing in my drawings with this concentration project. I've seen some improvements in my drawings I do on my free time. I'm planning to go to University of Cincinnati after I graduate from High School. For more work you can go to my website here: http://domi978.wix.com/dominiclandon .

Mirror, Mirror

I thought this picture was really interesting because the mirror reflection blends in so well with the background. I like how it covers her body completely.

Kailynn Clark

My name is Kailynn. I can appreciate the simple beauty of the natural world. I chose that beauty for my concentration because I like how things, such as trees, resemble the essence of nature. The trees have veins that run through the branches and their leaves have veins as well, which resemble the flow of nature, and together they give it life. I have been exploring how the light comes through the trees and how different seasons effect the trees and leaves. You can check out more of my work  here . I hope to further my education in photography in the near future.

Ship Logs

This picture is millions of journal entries from 18th and 19th century ship logs plotted over each other, it has become very artistic.
Im so excited for bpa but maya is hard to learn everytime i get something right something else causes a problem. I feel like the indi 500 would theme is to hard.  but I'm not giving up and I'll fix all of it

Durians

I like to eat fruit such as orange, apple, etc. Also I like the fruit called durian(picture shown above) too. This fruit can be found in southeast Asia. I bet most of you never see it before. This fruit had a very strong smell. In Asia, we called it king of fruit because of the smell.

Explore the Galaxy

There's this really cool website that has this virtual exploration of space and it's just really cool, you should check it out here.

Apple Carving

You can make art out of literally anything. Even an apple. Cool.

Scholastics Entry

Greetings. I bring forth to you images from one of my scholastics entries. These were taken from a 3D model I built of a building I designed in Architecture. Enjoi
Look  its art, so artsy, much brush, art.

Congratulations to our 3 Overture Award Semi-Finalists

Congratulations to Paige Schlosser, Hannah Smith, and Emma Fitzgerald.  Each of them have been selected as one of only 18 Visual Art  Semi-Finalists  in the Cincinnati Overture Awards.  Good luck to them in the Semi-Final judging on Saturday, January 18, 2014.  You can read more about this scholarship competition here .

Illustrator Portrait

This illustrator portrait isn't very detailed, however this is what I like most about it. You can tell that its a person. She has details like the lines on her nose. But she is colored in white and there isn't any shading, which I think is very unique.

Shadows

I found these images that uses people interacting with shadows and I thought it was really different and interesting.

T-Shirt Art

This some interesting T-Shirt designs I randomly found on the internet. They are all done by Naolito (I guess that's his name) and have a sense of humor along with some really cool illustrations.

Urban Snowboarding - fish eye photo

I chose this photo because I like the edit that this person did in Photoshop, I also like the angle of the shot. I'm also a fan of urban snowboarding because there are more ways to be creative with tricks than what you can do in a ski resort.

Portraits

I really like this picture of tupac because of all the shadows. I also think the color scheme is really cool.

Illustration

I found this picture and its used with illustrator, I like the blending of all the different colors. The design in the paintbrush is very interesting and I just like how different this photo is.

T-Shirt Design

I found a bunch of cool t-shirt designs like this made in Adobe Illustrator! This one comes from Glennz Tees, if anyone's interested.

Wildlife Photography

Since its hunting season and I love the winter and photography check this out !

Below 0 temperatures?!?!

The bone chilling weather the last several days may remind many of the snow storm of 1978. Many parts of northern US were hit hard by a couple of inches to almost a foot of snow.

Digital painting

I found this image of a digital painting on the web, i thought it was really nice work, and i like the situation
