AP DMA 2014

As this year comes to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to send out the web links to the portfolios of the 18 AP DMA Seniors that will be graduating in a few short days.  If you have a minute, take a look at the wonderful work they have created during their time in high school.  These talented students are looking for internships, commissions, networking, and job opportunities that will help them achieve their future career goals.  If you like their work, please contact them directly for your photography, illustration, design, animation, video and filmmaking needs!  Please forward their portfolios to anyone you know who might be interested in their work.  Alex Thomas  http://atrain004.wix.com/alexthomasportfolio Rob Santen  http://rsanten96.wix.com/portfolio Sam Huber  http://14shuber.wix.com/design Marcus Jones  http://m25556.wix.com/straytrickster  Dominic Landon  http://domi978.wix.com/dominiclandon Grant Holt  http://kihs-gholt.wix.com/theworldingrey

This photo is by Ashkan Honarvar. I really like how this artist took a simple picture of a model and transformed it into something completely different. I also like all the colors it reminds me of summertime.
I really wish car companys would act on these artistic styles of cars. These cars would look so amazing seeing on the road. Please add the cars to the current lineup.

Underwater Photography

Ive really been into looking at underwater photography. I thought this was a really interesting piece

2014

Congratulations to my fellow class of 2014 for accomplishing the absolute minimum standard of our society, you should be proud of yourselves.

Binder Evolution

This is my new binder cover, I like it because I felt a lot more free to make it what I wanted using the skills I've acquired through DMA 1, my first rendition back in the day was much more limited by skill.

Anthony Neil Dart

I thought this is a really nice design piece, and this artist Anthony Neil Dart has a lot of really nice work. Click on his name for more.
Taken using Canon T3i Got my new camera two weeks ago with mother's day deal. $640.98 with tax and it comes with a Canon T3i, a 18-55mm lens, 75-300mm lens, 16GB SD card, and a UV Filter. I think it's pretty good deal. Other thing, I like to share this video with all of you. Hope you guys enjoy!!!

Fishing

An awesome example of light graffiti telling a story. I love the composition of the photograph. I also like how they put in the people walking on the bridge. The light graffiti itself is also very well done. It is almost flawless.
I took this at Landen Lake. I entered this in the competition at Sinclair.
A painting from one of my favorite artists  jean-Michael Basquiat. I like to look at it and think its just a giant collage of what is inside basquiat and all the weird taboo things he thinks about and brings into his paintings.
So Senior bro

Indianapolis Art Museum

Here's a few pictures I took at the Indianapolis Museum of Art during BPA nationals~

Seniors very soon.....

So Long Shilds

As we board the boat to Miami we bid our final farewell to our pack leader, protector and sensei. We have learned much in our journey, but must continue elsewhere, and we thank you for all your time and effort you put in to help us succeed. Farewell Mrs. Shilds, we will always remember you. And probably come back a lot because we're only going to be like 40 minutes away.
Well this is the last chance ill have to post about cars....So heres a link to my buddy Elliot Heigel's Flickr, his work has been the primary inspiration for all of my shots, and hes a cool person in real life, with that being said i just want each and everyone of you younger DMA students to take a brief look into "Cincy Now" and remember to leave your legacy https://www.flickr.com/photos/elliottheigel/with/13998920975/

I Spy Shields

Goodbye DMA

Well this is my last post. It's been a great 3 years, thank you Mrs. Shields for making this my favorite class everyday. In honor of my last blog here is my favorite picture that I have ever taken. Only in America is this possible. This won an honorable mention by the way (proving Mrs. Shields wrong).

Flash Drive Eraser

Found this and thought it was so cool. How ever knew that you could make the most simplest this is interesting and different. Well, know u could have two in one eraser and flash drive, so cool!

Remembering Senna

Wow, it's been a while since I've actually posted something to the blog... Anyways, last Thursday marked the twentieth anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna. For those who don't know who Senna is, he was a 3 times world champion Brazilian formula 1 driver who tragically died at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy after his Williams Renault went off the track at 190mph and hit a concrete wall head on at 170mph.. The video above talks about the day in 1988 in Monte Carlo at the Monaco Grand Prix when he out-qualified his team-mate by almost 2 seconds, which is unheard of in Formula 1 (the voice in the video is Senna recalling his experience at Monaco). The video below is an excerpt from the movie entitled "Senna" that was made about him that was released in 2011. And if you're really interested, you can watch the entire movie on Netflix...

Senior Confession

Hey guys, my Senior Confession is that sometimes Shield's projects are long and arduous (except for time based pieces :D ) but I listen to this video on YouTube SPECIFICALLY when I need an extra boost and feel totally baller while doing them. I hope you enjoy.

An Oldie but a Goodie

Here's an animation that Mr. Brian Shoff introduced to me when I was in Intro as a Sophomore. One of the coolest animations that I've seen; and it shall remain one of the best.
This is a video done by PES that I thought was some really high quality stop motion. check it out

The next big thing

Its been out for a little awhile but thought it might be worth putting up.

Star Trek The Darkness Beyond

Stat Trek into darkness poster parody I did. One of so much many.
Found this interesting photo on google images, i liked the focus on the lightbulb and the sunset in the background.
This is a photo of Shia Labeouf at a red carpet event, I think it's really cool that he decided to do something that most famous people never do and  be some kind of art piece.

So one day i am sitting at home on my phone just scrolling through twitter. I come across this picture of a little girl someone posted I notice that the little girl is sitting on train tracks, and BAM! i have a great idea. i can use my super excellent photoshop magic skills to make this picture the way i want it   and that is how this master piece was born! but wait! dont you think it would be amazing if it were a toy train behind her!?!?!? well i did just that! Thank you for reading!
