Want to learn to draw in perspective?

If you are trying to create more realistic environments for your Flash animations, here is a great resource for learning to draw in perspective.   Vanishing Point: Perspective for Comics From the Ground Up   by Jason Cheeseman-Meyer breaks perspective principles down into clear, concise steps, walking through from one-point to five-point perspective techniques, including complex forms and figures in each.

Colour Lovers

Colour Lovers is a creative community where people from around the world create and share colors, palettes and patterns, and discuss the latest trends in color. You can also create your own repeating patterns. Using shapes, shades and layers, you can create a pattern to which you can add any color palette, and allow others to as well. You can then purchase the pattern as a print or on fabric.

Painting on a Flatbed Scanner

Artist Bex Wild   paints on her flatbed scanner with amazing results.   The paintings seem alive and liquid, bursting with color.  Bex explains her technique step by step here.   You can check out  the wonderful images she shares on   her page   as well as check out other scanner artist at    http://www.scannography.org/      Another artist,  Pery Burge , forgoes the scanner and uses a digital camera as well as video to record various colored inks as they move through water.  Artist  Holton Rower  also uses the process of pouring paint in his work.  He has documented his work below.

You don’t need a dark room in order to make a background completely dark!

The Revenge of SpaceLemon (29/365) , a photo by Photocritic.org on Flickr. The reason why this photo came out as it did, is because of the camera settings: The camera was set to ISO 100, with f/9.0 aperture and 1/200 second shutter time. Set your camera to precisely those settings, and take a photo indoors, without using a flash. Even in a relatively well-lit room, that will result in a very dark photo indeed. How to get super slow motion effects with any camera!

This is next on my list of things to buy and figure out!  Twixtor is a simple After Effects/Final Cut Pro plugin that will make your video look like it was shot at incredible 1000fps levels. It adds frames instead of merely slowing down your footage.  I want that!   Below is a link to a blog that I love reading with all the info you need.  You have to check out the vimeo links to more cool examples. Color Personality Indicator

I found a site that tests your personality based on your most and least favorite colors. You DO NOT have to give them your email or fill anything out for results.  I took the test and it told me I was a "Organizer" and then a "Do-er". LOL  How accurate is it for you? Click here to take the color test!
