Light Dinosaur

I found this light graffiti picture, and thought I would post it because we just finished up with light graffiti in DMA1. I like it because they must have taken a lot of time and precise effort to get the dinosaur to come out so nice and proportionate.

Light Graffiti

This is one of my light graffiti, out of all of my light graffitis I really liked this one the best. When we started this project it was a little hard to figure out but after you figure out how to make the light graffiti really well, then you can have really really good pieces. I had a lot of fun with this project and would love to make more light graffiti.

Samannah & Smiley

                     I got you Shields

Mrs Shields Fought in the Civil War

Believe it or not the Shilds you all know and love actually was a general for the union army in 1863 and valiantly fought in the battles of Bull Run and Antietam Creek. Nicknamed after her stache, general  ShildStache was one of them most crucial figures for the victory of the north

Typography

This past week in AP DMA we did a project called Typography. I took the word ignite and made it out of matches then lit it on fire and took pictures of it. This was my favorite out of all of the pictures a got.
this is a digital painting i found on the web, thought it was very detailed and contrast is perfect.

Galaxy S5

This the the new samsung galaxy s5. Is this the next big thing?

Illustrated Words

In DMA 1 we just got finished doing our Illustrated word project. I found this on the internet and I like how this person conveyed their word so well. I think their technique of making the crayons bend in a way that fit their letters was clever.

All In

My typography photography assignment from last week. I'm all in and ready to go until graduation.

Another Light Graffiti

Another light graffiti picture I like. The beautiful coloring captures my attention and the look. I did a light graffiti for my typography photography.

Royale Wit' Cheese

Do you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Paris? I took this picture for class. Behold!!!

Devastatingly Beautiful

I really like how the photographer found a really good light source amongst all the rubble of the 9/11 catastrophe. It really brings together the whole picture and makes the debris and collapsed pieces come together and be beautiful. I really hope to be able to take pictures like this one day!

Light graffiti with a beautiful face

Typography Font Combos

Font Combinations I found the tag "font combinations" on Pinterest and thought it would be helpful for those of us working on typography. Just search the names of the fonts and download. Super easy! :)

Shawn Coss

It was recently brought to our attention that we're going to need to know how to draw in college. I don't know about the rest of you, but for me hand drawing is my weakest form of artistic expression; however, I recently discovered the art of  Shawn Coss , who I'm learning to draw from, through his many illustrations of twisted creatures. He has several videos of him working on youtube, as well as countless works scattered throughout the internet. By taking note of how he forms each line, and the reoccurring elements in his work, I'm adopting my own style of hand drawn art.  Shawn does Ink illustrations, as well as digital paintings. He is also employed by explosm.net , the website responsible for the Cyanide and Happiness web comic. He describes his individual work as a way to release his "inner monsters." All of them are anatomically impossible, jagged and emaciated, however each one maintains its own level of personality. Although his work is o

Hannah Smith

I'm Hannah Smith and for my concentration in DMA, I am doing contour lines, watercolor, and the blending of different photo filters of people in cities. Next year, I am attending either Savannah College of Art and Design or the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where I will be studying graphic design with a possible minor in fine arts. Click here to check out my website.

Banksy is a mastermind .

Recently I have been completely & utterly enthralled with Banksy & this is one of his graffiti pieces & I loved it so I figured I would share . You're welcome .

Light Graffiti

An awesome photograph using light graffiti. I love how you can see someone in the background. It's a very compelling photograph and not only is it a good picture, but the light graffiti is also very symmetrical.
my first light using a light saber, could have been but the first project isn't the best most of the time.

Erik Johansson's Surreal Photos

This is a piece in a composition of surreal photos by Erik Johansson. They are all really creative and cool looking check them out  here .
i found this photo on the internet, thought it was a good example to show that even the unthinkable can be done

Jensen O'Dell

Hello! I am Jensen O'Dell. I like to paint digitally. Ive used this skill in my concentration, as you can see. My concentration focuses on the 7 deadly sins and holy virtues demonstrated using modern day, teenage females. I also use Shakespeare quotes to get my point across. I love that guy. You can find more of my work  here . This year I am a senior in AP DMA. Next year I will go to college. I'm not sure where I am going to go or what I am going to do for sure, but I think I want to go to USC for Creative Writing.

Light Whale!

After browsing through the "light graffiti" tag on tumblr, I found this cool photograph. It's amazing the kinds of things people can do just with light!

Alex Thomas

Hi, I'm Alex Thomas. My concentration is centered around photography and contour line drawings of zoo animals. The water color is an assortment of brushes and the pieces of newspaper were scanned in and collaged onto the picture. The newspaper is used to create the connection between paper and the animals. Both are created with the intention to be discarded. This was to create the idea/awareness that we should preserve and take care of these wild animals. I plan on attending the University of Cincinnati and study in the DAAP program, majoring in Graphic Communication Design. Check out my website at  http://14athomas.wix.com/alexthomasportfolio

Kelvin Yeoh

Hi, I am Kelvin Yeoh. I illustrate crumpled papers for my concentration with Adobe Illustrator. I feels like the detail on crumpled papers is interesting, because people don't even notice the shadows on it, but when you really look at it, the shadow is really complicated. You can check my website out at http://yeohkelvin2010.wix.com/portfolio

It's going Back To The Future

Light Graffiti used to copy trilogy "Back To The Future"
In dma we are just starting light graffiti, and these are some photos I found. My favorite photo is the third one I like all the lights in it. Also in all three photos I think the backgrounds help make the photos too instead it just being about the light graffiti.
