Extreme Zentangles

I’m sure that everyone rembers back to eight grade art class, the year we had to make zentangles. It’s really cool to think about what we can make zentangles into and what we can do with them. I always looked up different ideas for them and now I’m really interested in all the ways we can make different zentangles!! Down at the bottom I posted some links to some cool zentangles! https://goo.gl/images/Kkf2qC https://goo.gl/images/i7B18y https://goo.gl/images/J6m6bA https://goo.gl/images/zKrnXN

Jordan Matter

Jordan Matter Jordan Matter is a photographer that is well known for taking pictures of dancers in unique locations and ways. He began his career as a professional actor, and became a photographer by chance. Matter's grandfather (Herbert Matter) was a highly successful photographer and his father (Alex Matter) was a film director. So, you could say being around the camera is in his blood. Images of humanity moved Matter and made him interested in how to take intimate pictures of people. Matter is also known for his 10 minute challenges, where he only has 10 minutes to take pictures of dancers in different locations and in unique ways. Hyperrealistic Painter, Lisa Ericson

I stumbled upon Lisa Ericson's work one day while browsing the Internet and was instantly intrigued. What caught my attention at first were her paintings of betta fish, whose tail fins grew out into coral reefs and other marine habitats. Upon closer searching, I discovered her whole portfolio of hyperrealistic paintings showcasing fauna of unlike backgrounds composed together in one scene.  Generally, the Portland-based painter focuses on one series at a time, but the range of each is quite extensive. She's dabbled in imaginary animal hybrids (mouserflies - or mouse butterflies), coral fish, and most recently, turtles whose shells hold home for other forms of life in a series called Mobile Habitats . Her work is unique and eye-catching! Feel free to take a closer look at her website and portfolio by clicking here . You can also see closer-up and behind-the-scenes looks at her work by checking out her Instagram account: aqualisa .
I like this scenery where it looks like night but it doesn't have the same colors as night. I like the brush strokes made to make up the background compared to the bottom smooth  strokes.
I really like the colors of this, and I love how the sky was designed

video editing and cinematography

I was on twitter and I watched the most beautiful video. The color scheme, music, and everything about it completely fascinated me. I really enjoy video editing and watching videos like this, especially from people's trips.                                                     click here to watch video             If the link above doesn't work, copy and paste this address:                      https://twitter.com/itsindysev/status/1033827573552185344?s=12

Dark

A series I am currently in the middle of, the German mystery show Dark, is quite mind-boggling and very complex. When 11-year-old Mikkel disappears without a trace, the small town of Winden breaks down as they uncover the mysteries of his disappearance, and the boy who had went missing thirty-three years before him. With a strong presence of symmetry within the time frames of 1986, and 2019, this show can really mess with your brain. The show is entirely in German, but there is an English voice-over to those who do not like subtitles, although I'd recommend subtitles rather than the dub. This. Show. Is. Great. I also like the soundtrack!

Adidas

Although Adidas normally sticks to basic colors and their signature logo they do have a few pieces with some pretty cool designs! I think they make a fashion statement and are different than most well known brands who don't take risks with their designs.
Over the weekend I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this video of a cutting into the head of a fake Pug dog made of Food!.. It looked so real yet it was just a piece of art made by food. Sadly I couldn't find the video, but here is another example of food art and how you can make art out of almost anything.

James Frideman

I was checking things out on the internet when I found some of James Fridman's work and I thought it was super funny and I think everyone should check out his great photoshop skills!! James Fridman

JR - The French Photographer

JR, a french photographer, started when he found a camera in the Paris metro in 2001. After he found this camera he knew his destiny was to head all around Europe and begin capturing photos of the real world in the city streets. When he was younger JR had always been interested in graffiti, and that is what influenced him to combine the thought of photography being installed into the streets, like graffiti has been into the cities. JR has work that reveals true humanity, and had decide to put forth his work in places where people can be inspired to change the world for the better (usually the cities). JR once said, "the street is the largest art gallery in the world.", and this is what keeps him going each and everyday. This artist influences me because he has is very determined to inspire others around the world, while also making the world a better and more admirable place. One of his most inspiring pieces of art is the "Women Are Heroes" project. JR took p

Poly Art Book

I found this really cool game named poly art book on the app store.  It's free and it comes with a bunch of vector portrait puzzles.  It's really fun and time consuming as all games should be.  Check it out if you get the chance.

Mixed Media

This is an exploding pineapple. I decided to share this image because it combines two mediums, Photography and Digital Media. They carefully and precisely sliced this pineapple and some how managed to get the top half to float in the air. After they accomplished that amazing feat they hopped onto their computer and made the design right in between those two halves. Over all i just thought this was cool and funny because its a pineapple.

Vexx Doodles

One of my favorite artists at the moment is Vexx. Vexx is a 20 y/o doodling artist from Belgium. Carthage Films

There is a small film business coming out of New Orleans, Louisiana, named Carthage Films. This business has become known for it's live photography/cinematography, and work on music videos. The guy behind the camera is named Jake Meyer. He is a fantastic artist, a Junior at Loyola University in New Orleans, and my cousin (hence why I'm writing about his work). I wanted to share this with you all, to show you if you do decide to go into a creative field, how quickly you can create a platform for yourself. https://13thstreetpromotions.com/tag/carthage-films/      (Here is a place he's been promoted) I hope this can inspire some of you, and perhaps you can learn from how my cousin started into this business.

Vivian Maier & Street Photography

Vivian Maier was an American woman born in 1926 best known for her black and white street photography. She worked as a nanny for most of her life, pursuing photography on the side and went undiscovered up until 2007. A Chicago collector named John Maloof purchased a trunk full of her unpublished photographs and negatives at an auction and later posted them on the internet. Her photos soon went viral and brought Vivian's name to fame. Her style of photography is what can only be described as 'bold'. She captures the lives she observes on the street in their raw forms, shooting pictures of strange interactions and perfectly illustrating urban life. Vivian's legacy and the photos she left behind have become an inspiration to photographers all around the world. http://www.vivianmaier.com/
