IMPRESSED BUT YOU CAN DO MORE Apple......

FOR THE UNINFORMED: Mrs. Shields may kill me for how long this post to the blog is, but she can deal with it :P Alright... I just want to state that I love Apple to death and get that out of the way but I AM GOING TO RANT for a little. Apple introduced the new "iPad Air" to the world today, among other things. The starting price for a 16GB silver OR black iPad Air is $499, and if you want 8x the storage with the 128GB version, it'll set you back $799. To put that into perspective, if you were to buy a 2.3GHz Mac Mini that has a quad core Intel Core i7 (the fastest processor Intel makes, starting at the i3, i5, and then the i7), 4GB of DDR3 ram, and a 1TB hard drive, it'll set you back $799. So you can buy a pretty very good Mac computer (I have one at home but better haha) or a new iPad. Anyways....  The iPad Air weights only A pound (yes one pound), is only 7.5 millimeters thick (Apple advertises that by saying 7.5 millimeters THIN), has a 9.7"

Movies = Work

So DMA 1 is replicating movie trailers right now, and I found this. Obviously none of us are using all the crazy effects like this, but I thought it was super interesting to realize that if we think a ton of work goes into our tiny trailers, think about one whole movie. then add all the extra crazy effects and tech involved. Crazy.

Digit-al Pi-ano

This is some digital art involving pianos, it's pretty cool ok so check out the artist Joseph Presely. He does a lot invloving music.

Turtles

I really wanted to post a picture of a turtle and shields said I had to be creative and artistic so heres a cool turtle that was obviously photoshopped and I dont know a ton about double exposure, actually I know nothing about it but I feel like this looks like double exposure ok. bye.

Tips for Shooting Video with DLSR's

12 Tips For Photographers Curious About DSLR Video Diving into video can confound even experienced still shooters; here are 12 tips to help you make the transition with ease BY STAN HORACZEK ON OCTOBER 7, 2013 5 RELATED TAGS: HOW-TO ,   LIGHTING ,   PROCESSING ,   SHOOTING ,   VIDEO A shotgun mic like the Røde Videomic ($150, street) boosts your DSLR’s audio chops. Photo by: Dan Bracaglia Motion can flummox even the most experienced still shooters. To get you started making great video with a DSLR or ILC, here are some essentials. Grasp them and you’ll soon film like a pro. Plan your shoot. Making a video people want to watch starts before you pick up the camera. “Storyboarding, shot-listing, and conceptualizing are ultimately what sets good motion work apart,” says photographer-turned-director Vincent Laforet. While you don’t need Hollywood-style storyboards to shoot a birthday party, planning your shots in advance will make editing simple

Standing In Front of More Interesting Stuff

Who are National Geographic photographers? To honor 125 years of photography, they turned the (video) camera on their colleagues and get to know the people behind some of the most celebrated photographs in the world. Visit  http://proof.nationalgeographic.com  for more interviews from this series, in which National Geographic photographers explore the power of photography and explain why this life of image-making suits them so well.

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Awesomeness

This is a great explanation of how the high dynamic range on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera works! This has definitely solidified my interest in buying one of these puppies! The high dynamic range allows for the opportunity to not crush shadows and to bring out the detail in both extreme light and extreme darkness. Very nifty and definitely worth the price!

Banksy's Unmarked Art Sale

Banksy fooled everyone again when he set up an art booth outside of Central Park, selling 100% authentic original signed Banksy canvases for $60 each. Only three people to buy pieces from the stall, He only sold $420 worth of art. This was part of Banksy's "residency on the streets of New York". Thousands of other New Yorkers and tourists walked past the stall, which had been open for hours before the first sale, unaware of the potential goldmine of modern art that was on sale. The pieces on offer included a version of well-known Banksy works such as "Flower Thrower", which adorns the cover of Wall & Piece, his 2005 hardback retrospective, and "Laugh Now". A triptych containing two similar black-on-white versions of these two works, alongside a third piece, sold for £121,250 ($194,181) at auction in London in 2008.

Collage

I recently saw a couple really interesting collage pieces that I want to share about. I looked into them and the company they are done by is a German company called Hort. I think its a company or a collective of artists or something like that but I'm not quite sure because the website is well....in German. But to check out more of their work on a confusing German Website click  here
Im sure almost everyone has seen this picture but I figured i would post it because quite frankly it is an amazing picture the way the building look blue along with the sky, gotta love HDR!

Breadheads

This is a really cool animation I found, each frame was done by hand.

Double Exposure

This is my project for the double exposure technique. I really like the way that this style looks and I might be exploring it further for my concentration.

Homemade Movie Trailer Comparison

This is any idea for then next project that we are doing, homemade movie trailers. This is a really cool homemade movie trailer, but that might be because I like Lord of the Rings a little bit. I'm really excited for this project, but i don't know what movie trailer my partner and I am going to do.

Neon Waterfalls

Photographers  Sean Lenz and Kristoffer Abildgaard  did a series of long exposure photographs called "Neon Luminance". To get the neon light graffiti in the water, they dropped glow sticks into the waterfalls. They shot with a long shutter speed as the glow sticks floated down to the drop off.

Mother Nature At Gunpoint

Not sure if this qualifies as a double exposure but it certainly is somewhat related to in the process. I also like the interesting creative way they take a normal figure we use about industrialism vs nature and make it something emotional and interesting

Awesome photo compositing

http://thisishoax.com/hoaxportfolio/ This website shows a portfolio of photo compositing. This picture of the house on the hill is my favorite. Check it out!

A great example of a "Me-My Self-And I" Project

This is very relative to what we are currently doing in class. He has doen this very well. There are 8 of him in this picture.  He did a very good job on this "Me, My Self, and I" project.

Double exposure pic. me like

Just a little something were doing related to this in class. Double exposure is kind of neat.

The Eye

I found this picture while I was searching around on google images, and it really caught my eye... See what I did there?:) I really like the way they blended the colors in the eye to represent water, while still holding the composition of an eye. I also love how the only part in focus is the diver, diving in to the eye, it really pulls you in to that one spot making it the center of interest.

MULTIPLE EXPOSURE EXAMPLES

HERE  is a website with tons of multiple exposure pieces and artists. These professional artists are almost as good as BIG KEV!
