I found this astounding art under the Game Of Thrones tag on Reddit. I apologize for the nerd-out, but I was truly inspired to share this work of art, even if I am biased, as Game of Thrones is my favorite TV show. It looks as if it were done digitally, but it looks realistic enough to say it was done on a canvas. Again, I truly love this piece.

Concentration

For my concentration I have decided to mix fire and photography together. So far that out come has been pretty cool. I got the inspiration from Lucas Simoes, who also burns his photography. Linked below are some great examples of his work. Faze Up.

Photography Studio

I was really looking into photographers when I realized that my aunt is one, she usually does photos for weddings and she took photos of me and my brothers for Christmas some years ago, so I thought that I would share mine. And here's a link to her photography shop. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwidlentyJnXAhXE7CYKHWHjBpAQFggmMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mollygrosse.photography%2F&usg=AOvVaw3S2Pni7nrefY4Hhyq6-VpT

Blink Cincinnati

Blink Cincinnati Blink Cincinnati was an event in Cincinnati from October 12-15. It was a big light show that showcased l arge-scale projection mapping installations, murals, urban artscapes, media light and interactive art. This was a really cool photo opportunity, however I was unable to go. Here is a link to the photo gallery ( http://www.blinkcincinnati.com/new-page/ )  and below are some of my favorite images from the event.

Photographer Brittney Borowski

In the realm of photography, there is this constant push for creativity - no one wants to look at the same styled picture of the same model doing the same pose after all. Our pictures must differ from those of other photographers and show individuality and creativity beyond the camera angle and editing. As a lover of photography I am always shooting, and know the struggle of coming up with new photo-shoot concepts. I find inspiration through accounts of photographers that I follow on Instagram, with one of my favorites being Brittney Borowski. She is a portrait, couples/wedding, and family photographer based in California, and her style is very dynamic as she is always trying out new poses, background ideas, and props. You can find a link to her  YouTube channel here , where she posts editing and concept tutorials for the world to see! You can also check out  her website  to see other beautiful photographs beyond some of my favorites I attached below!
Here is a picture. This picture has actor Josh Duhmel, in the new CGI based game Call of Duty WW2 This new installment in the franchise is now more advanced in visuals like never before. Now video games of this generation turn from 64 bit megapixels to 1080 p HD quality movies and this picture is an example of that new advancement in art

Daniel Arnold

I've been getting into photography a lot over the summer and I found a photographer, Daniel Arnold, that shoots the streets of New York. I really love how unapologetic his pictures are and the way they tell their own stories is amazing in my opinion.

Very cute animation

I think this animation has a very cute art-style, and has a capturing cute story of a reinvented story of Little Red Riding Hood. And this artist has created their animation pretty well from scratch.

Behind the Scenes of Forrest Gump

This video goes behind the scenes of the movie Forrest Gump.  I found it interesting how the film makers were able to edit Tom Hanks into this scene with JFK by compositing the two clips into one.

Wakan by Isart Digital

This short film captivated me within a few seconds because of the style and color choices. But as the film went on I was  even more captivated by the story and its ability to show so much emotion and depth within 4 minutes. Hope you enjoy the film as much as I did!

Dreams

There's a new band that I've started listening to recently, called The Score. I personally enjoy their music, and they inspire me to keep pushing when the world is pushing back. They've been my "rock," so to say, when I feel down and when I feel like not fighting anymore. They remind me to pick up and keep fighting for my dreams, and my goals.

Spooky Charcoal Crows

In the spirit of Halloween these excellently drawn charcoal crows really put the spook in Halloween. The crows them selves have enough detail to make out their shape but at the same time have a bit of a messy look that makes the whole vibe of this work of art that more spooky. The branch has an ominous, almost dead look that also adds to the scary factor.

Federico Infante

For my contemporary artist sketchbook assignment I chose a painter named Federico Infante. Federico's work is very unique in his process, finished products, and overall meaning. He creates these beautiful pieces by a process of painting layers on layers of acrylic paint and then scratching it off. As a result, each piece becomes unique in it's own way. Federico also doesn't plan his work in advance, and tries to "stay present and as detached as possible from the result," which I find really inspiring. I love the colors, movement, and mystery that is found in his work and I'm now using Federico's pieces to inspire my concentration. Definitely checkout his website and I also recommend reading his artist statement ( http://www.federicoinfante.com/ )!        This is a thumbnail of my experimentation for my concentration. I took pictures of chipped or patterned surfaces and I'm going to combine them with a portrait of movement. I'm still ex

Paris Fall/Winter Fashion Show 2017

Every year, Paris has a Fall/Winter fashion show and each year they have new trendy styles. I love watching all of their fashion shows and I can't wait for this year's Fall/Winter show.  Here are a couple of images from last year's show:

Simone Bramante

Simone Bramante is probably my favorite photographer. His photos are centered around travel and his past experiences with travel.  He has his own blog as well.  He does a really good job of capturing the unique backgrounds in breathtaking ways. Traveling is a huge part of my life so his photography is a big inspiration to me. I hope someday to be able to travel the world and take beautiful pictures like these. Below are some of my favorite photos of his.   Grace Pansch

National Geographic Photographers

http://www.nationalgeographic.com/photography/best-of-photo-of-the-day/2017/animals/ The photographers at National Geographic have a unique challenge while capturing nature to the best of their ability. They accentuate the adorable animals using different lightings, pattern repetitions, and depth of field.

Concentration Inspiration

The artist for this piece is Marina Abramovic. Her style is to find the limitations of humans, such as becoming unconscious and pain. Some of her artwork features skeletons and people interacting with them. I like this concept, because in my view I see it as people interacting with this limitation, or the idea of death in their everyday lives. The way she shows emotions and movement brings life. It's something to think about.

Bella Kotak

I decided to share this amazing artists website  check out her stuff http://www.bellakotak.com/
I posted this animation because I really like the art style and Star Wars. You can really tell that the artist spent a lot of time on this. The animation is one of the only fan films I've seen that doesn't look like it was made in someones backyard with random articles of clothing. The animator Paul Johnson has a lot of talent.

Steele Johnson

One of my absolute favorite photographers is Steele Johnson. His pictures frequently interact with the environment around him. Being an Olympic silver medalist, he gets the chance to travel the world and uses those opportunities to capture breath taking photos. He has a great range in the types of pictures he takes and ceases the moment whenever possible.

The Star

We, my host family and friends and I went downtown cincinnati to see the largest light, art, and projection mapping events I have ever seen. It was very cool because there are projectors displaying arts on the buildings everywhere around the city. I love how people can interact with arts. My favorite was the drawing lights. You will get a little flashlight and you can draw on certain places and it will show up for 5 minutes and then disappear. I choose to post this photo because we got the flashlight and we moved in around to make a star. We used long-exposure shot to capture this and it took us many attempts.

FaZe Sunset

I really love this photo of the sunset. The photographer did a great job of capturing the 2 different suns. The sky fading from ink to blue really makes Luke stick out. Having nothing to block this sunset really makes for a cool photo!                                                                              Faze Up!

Nature

I enjoy this picture because of all that is capture. You have multiple different elements of nature in this that have harmony together Which really makes this picture so great.

Skyrim art

This image of a dragon from the popular game Skyrim. I thought it was an interesting take on an object fading into a haze and fading out of the the viewers depth of vision. I thought it was really well done and detailed up close and faded out while still representing the object as a whole. Faze up

AP Concentration

In AP DMA we are starting to get into our concentrations for the AP exam So, for my concentration I decided to focus on portraits in abandoned buildings. The reason I decided to this was to contrast the difference between the urban decay and the beauty of the model. I took my first selection of shots last weekend at a location I do not know the exact name of but it was a super cool and creepy abandon building. For my model I used my girlfriend Maddi and we had tons of fun shooting at this location. Luckily this building brought in lots of natural light which was perfect since I did not have much equipment with me. Below I will attach a few shots from this weekend. FaZe Up

Film School Application Videos

In class the other day, I had finished my project early so naturally, I went online and started looking at application videos students had sent to highly prestigious schools like USC, NYU, LMU, and many more. After looking at many similar videos for about 40 minutes or so, I stumbled across this one. I was immediately engaged when it started because of the mystery and suspense building in it, starting with the voice over. Towards the end of the video, I was practically in tears because of the emotion portrayed in it. Although it wasn't based on a true story, the story was still very realistic and spoke to me on a whole other level. The artist who created the video was accepted to all the schools he applied to, and it is very clear to me why. If you have time, I would highly suggest giving it a watch and letting me know what you think! I promise you won't regret it. Set Me Free from NewEyecon on Vimeo .

Video Games IRL

While looking for artists and ideas to help with our composition ideas, I found this guy by the name of Lee Vidal on DeviantArt, who takes pictures of real world locations and adds in video game characters to tell a story, while mixing the real world with fantasy. The photoshopping is very meticulous, even down to lighting and motion blur. Here are two of his photos, but you can find his full gallery on his DeviantArt page here .

The Cinematography of Blade Runner 2049

I went to go see Blade Runner 2049 this weekend and it is one of the best-looking films I have ever seen. Roger Deakins was the cinematographer and he has worked on films like The Shawshank Redemption, Skyfall, and Sicario. I highly recommend you see Blade Runner 2049 because it is literally 2 hours and 40 minutes of cinematic beauty.
