Book Cover Designs

I have been looking for inspiration for book cover designs and stumbled upon some that are renditions based off of old famous books. These three in particular I love because they use modern techniques to portray a timeless theme in each book. I especially love the use of colors, texture, and graphic look of the Pride and Prejudice book cover. These are called "reimagined" book covers and the creativity in these definitely helps me with inspiration for my cover designs. You can find the rest of them here .

Cute Animations

I've recently been watching animations, to find inspiration. For ideas in DMA And its so far working, got really cool ideas to try out. So next the next post should be some cool stuff that I have thought up of. A really cool short video. Comic relief

Fan.tasia - Awesome Editing!

This is a video that was shown to me by a friend mostly because I'm a huge Disney nerd. But, if you overlook that, the editing and masking of this video is extremely impressive. This lady named  Lindsay McCutcheon  took most of the Disney movies that were released after 1989 and put them together into this video using the song,  Pop Culture  by Madeon. Alongside the editing skills, her timing with the movie scenes to the song itself was also very cool to see. Figured this would be a cool thing to watch if anyone is interested in things like this!

"Dope Tech" Video series by Marques Brownlee

This is just a little YouTube series about this guys thoughts on some cool gear he has for his different hobbies. A lot of his tech is focused on cameras, video or audio recorders, and smart phones. I haven't seen all of the episodes but I like this first episode the best, so far. Give it a look!

Upcoming iPhone 7 Camera

iPhone 7 and 7s Camera Rumors Apple's smartphones are commonly known for their excellent cameras, although over the years minor adjustments have been made which slowly led to higher quality images being taken with an increasing number of people who can access the new technology. But, Apple's upcoming smartphones are rumored to have technology foreign to their former smartphones. Coming in September, Apple may release a phone with a dual-lens camera, as well as another version without two lenses. The iPhone 7 will have a camera slightly better than the current iPhone 6 or 6s, but also containing OIS which is an image stabilizing system. The iPhone 7 Plus will also have OIS along with the dual-lens camera which will produce images of quality never reached by Apple's products in the past. This technology is astonishing because it is top of the line and is also becoming available to more and more customers as it becomes more common. To learn more read the following:

Let It Happen

This is the music video for Let It Happen by Tame Impala, one of my favorite bands. Tame Impala always has really cool videos, but I love this one in particular. I love the way they filmed the unique point-of-view shots, and how they edited the transitions between scenes to seem so seamless.

Soloshot Robot Camera Mount

I was blown away when I first saw this video of the Soloshot camera mount! This camera will follow your movements 360 degrees while you run, skate, horseback ride, surf, or anything else. It's completely automated and all you have to do is but on the tracker wristband. It has an interchangeable camera mount so you can use video cameras, DSLRs, and even go pros. The robot mount can even film from up to 2,000 ft away and it zooms automatically! Not to mention it also does video time lapses, can track multiple people with tags, and can take burst photos as well! However, I'm not sure what we would use it for or how often we would use it for our film projects, But I thought it was a amazing and creative device this company came up with, and it might spark some new ideas in our film making!

Good to be back : )))

Over the summer I went to my favorite bands concert; Cage the Elephant, one of the openers for the concert was a band called Portugal the Man. I really loved their music in concert, so when I got home I looked them up and found this album by them called In The Mountain In The Cloud , I absolutely love the design of this album cover and I know it will be a big inspiration to me when thinking of concentration ideas.  Collages are some of my favorite things to make and I really love that this collage incorporates vector art into the collage.  The design is so intricate and interesting to look at, and the bright colors of the vector art really pop and bring the whole piece together. I love the abstractness of the piece and when you take a closer look at the piece you notice so much more than you did at first glance.  (I also highly recommend their music it's 10/10)
