Mr. fortune

this is a cute little animation that mixes with real life. It's similar to what we are doing right now with our imaginary friends

New Nike uniforms

Saw these sweet new Jaguars uniforms while browsing the web.

Cable Cars are Cool

Cable cars work sort of like the tow rope at the ski slope. The cable is always moving and the car grips it when it wants to go.

Good Morning

Good morning from San Francisco!

Grand Theft Auto 5 Artwork

GTA V won't be coming out for a little while, but we can still admire the sweet artwork that Rockstar has released.

i love chalk art

Cars Cars Cars

This video uses dramatic camera angles and sweet effects to make the car come alive and keeps you entertained.

Syrsa

Syrsa definitely deserves more attention. His music (and a lot of his art) is just amazing.

A Fine Example Of Cheep Animation

I thought this was relevant to what we're doing in class. Here's an example of an animation that takes advantage of looping, and somehow manages to remain creative, and entertaining. . .

Speed Painting

This guy is incredible
I've always wanted to do cool things in photoshop that would be otherwise impossible (assuming science doesn't improve to this level) and make them works of art

Animation

Just to go along with the main focus as of late in DMA I, this is a series of short animations

The Original Animation

Animation is definitely challenging and takes a certain skill set. Walt Disney is the genius who brought it into the new age. Here is his famous Steam Boat Willie from 1928. Still the best of all-time.

Cool Dorm Design

Thought this was a cool picture of a very interesting dorm. It is at   university in  Orestad, a newer district in Copenhagen, Denmark. It shows that design can be in many different beautiful forms, including architecture.
Click Here to look at the chance of a life time! imagine a 3 or 4 hour exposure time of a night sky and multiple shooting stars going across the frame!

Making art using wax crayons

At first glance this picture looks like nothing more than a pixelated photo but closer inspection reveals the image is actually created using thousands of wax crayons by artist, Christian Faur. I posted this because it relates to our walk cycle that we're doing in flash.

Master Chief's eyes from Halo 4 only visible if you beat it on legendary
This is a very cool looking graphic design that I found. It's also Star Wars which is awesome

Behind the scenes of First Person Mario: Endgame

Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch are "freddiew," one of the the greatest channels on YouTube. They're well-known for their cinematic short films and animations. These guys are the ones responsible for First Person Mario and the sequel, Endgame. Any chance they get, they post behind the scenes videos on their second channel "freddiew2" and they've always fascinated me because of how intricate their projects are; these two are the ones responsible for getting me inspired to pursue a filmmaking career. Anywho, this is the behind the scenes video for the sequel to First Person Mario, this is the first video, First Person Mario , and here's the sequel,  First Person Mario: Endgame

3D Animation - Looney Toons

Several cartoon-like animations these days really emphasize on the illusion of life; the exaggeration of movement to make an object look more alive. This 3D animation reel from a Looney Toons short shows how animators go about animating and rendering 3D characters, environments and the exaggeration of movements.

Stick Wars

Sam Parrett showed me this really cool Flash Animation a few years ago. Check it out, it's pretty epic!
solid commercial by dr. pepper. good character development =D

EPIC FRUIT NINJA

Interesting way to make a simple app game in to an awesome video!

Art is hard

If you have ever seen the video END OF ZE WORLD you should go check it out because it was made in flash, just like our animations

Banksy

I know i have posted about Banksy before but he has created a new serious of works all about irony. I encourage you to checkout some of his new works.

Hair art

A new style for girls' hair is ombre-ing. It's where you have two or more different colors of hair and a fun way to make your hair is adding colors. I think this is really cool if you can pull it off!

"Most Creative Videos Ever"

As the seniors begin thinking about their time based piece I thought it might be helpful to get ideas. This is a news video CNN did about YouTube and the Guggenheim's compilation of the 25 "most creative" videos ever. Only a few are included in the video but the rest are HERE .

Vans Custom Culture 2013

Here are Kings 2013 Van Custom Culture shoe designs.  Kings entered the competition and shoes were sent to us in March.  Three AP DMA Seniors, Zoe Rodriguez, Kelly Madison, and Emily Douglass, all started created these designs for each of the 4 categories, Art, Music, Action Sports, and Local Flavor.  Wish them luck as they hope to be selected as one of the final top 50.
Very cool sculptures made of recycled redbull cans. Nothing is better than some redbull and art!

Egg

It may not be Easter anymore but its always time for art. With eggs.

Finding Humans In Nature

This is a really cool technique I came across. It uses trees, etc to hide a human face. It kind of reminds me of the double exposure technique we use in class. Click  here  to see more.

Amazing HDR photography

I came across this very nice HDR photo
I chose this because we did one as well but i realized mine would be a lot better if I had a center of interest to look on like this one.

Time Lapse Photography

Getting excited for our time-based pieces! A cool and fun technique to try out. This guy is one of the best I've seen! Check him out! vimeo.com/terjes A still from his video "the mountain"

Aurora Borealis on the souther coast of Iceland

"The aurora borealis seen over a beach in Iceland. Larry Gerbrandt braved temperatures below –20C and winds up to 40mph to take this picture of the northern lights over southern Iceland last month" Straight up literally I'm not going to lie, this is like, so geek omg

This is a crazy looking picture that was edited in Photoshop.

While looking for cool art I found this website of art made all up of  recycled toys !

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

You should definitely check out the latest game based on Naruto Shippuden (AKA the greatest anime ever). It includes new animation and the largest character roster to date.
