This is Saving Escape. They're a local band from Cincinnati composed of 4 talented teens who also happen to be some of my best friends. I've been the photographer for Saving Escape for nearly a year and I love every minute of it. Over the past few years this band has excepted me in and declared me apart of the band. Even though I don't play an instrument, I'm always on stage with them capturing the moment. These are just very few pictures of many and many more to come. I've watched this band grow, develop, face hard ship, have good performances and bad ones, and no matter what they all stay positive and humble. This band will be the next big thing, mark my words. Much love for this band and their creations.

Tyler, The Creator Influence

Tyler, The Creator Influence I take a lot of inspiration through Tyler's Converse Look book for fashion influence. I also look to his style and use it as a way to express myself more. I love the way his look books are done too because they're composed beautifully and are never too serious, but more free flowing.
I was going through some pictures on my old phone the other day, and I came across a photo that  I took on an airplane as we were over top of New York City.  I immediately emailed Miss Matthey  for some editing help.  I absolutely love how the photo captures most of downtown New York City and some of the river.  This inspired me to edit some more travel photos I have taken over the past few years. Art of Culture

I would love to share this video because of the breathtaking photography and the clothing the models wear. It reflects a specific group of Slavs during the pagan era. And the connection between nature and people really inspired me.

"Dustin" by The Dustin Team

I found this animated short and I was so captivated by the characters and story that I didn't want it to end. I also hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
Above is my favorite quote from Shakespeare. He's been one of y favorite authors since around 7th grade when I first read Romeo and Juliet. I know it sounds weird to find inspiration in a dead guy, but truth be told, you can find almost anything you want to hear in his words. He was a wise man, a terrible human being, but a beautiful writer. There's something extraordinary and special about being understood by someone who existed long before you. William Shakespeare knew how to touch the souls of people, he wrote ahead of his time. Maybe you can receive the same messages that I do, and I hope that his writing can inspire many more to come.
This is a new NFL trailer for the season that I thought was interesting. It shows "video within video" by having layers on layers with many different plays. It also has a nice feel as if it's a new movie or TV show

Fish Eye Lens

I found this photo online when researching the fish eye lens in class.  I like how it puts the city into a different perspective.  I like the way this lens rounds the edges.  This inspires me to take pictures and see the world from a different perspective.

Deadcrush by Alt-J

This is the Deadcrush music video and it is one of my favorites. Recently I've been planning and storyboarding another music video to create and I often watch other videos for inspiration. Although this video isn't the inspiration for the one I'm making, I still love the idea and resulting product of this one. The background in which they filmed is so interesting and really fits with the idea, as well as the camera angles and motions that really support the video. Also, I like that this video explains the song. The song is about the 3 band members' 'dead crushes' or 'DCs' from the past centuries: Elizabeth "Lee" Miller, Anne Boleyn, and Sylvia Plath. Only 2 of them made it into the lyrics but all 3 crushes show up in the video. So, when I first heard the song and I didn't understand it, watching the video made it all come together. I think the song and it's concept is so unique and I hope I can one day make a video just as interes

Castle black concept art by Martin Simonetti

I Choose this photo because I like what it means how the people in the photo travels around this vast arctic like terrain exploring around. I also like the depth of detail was put into it like hows there snow every where in the image just covering it, but the snow dont get in the way of the art it's actuality crystal clear.

Inspiration Through Music

Inspiration Through Music Written By Alex Muccino           About three years ago my friends and I started a cover band called Saving Escape, we started by practicing in a small basement with nothing but an electronic drum kit and a couple of acoustic guitars. We took every gig opportunity we could get, anywhere from playing our friend's backyard house parties, to being the background music for small events in our hometown. We spent the first year trying to find our sound, what we wanted to be. We started off playing really... really bad green day covers, and really anything to hit the top 100's on Kiss 107.            As the years went on and our experience of playing new venues expanded we found the artists that gave us our inspiration, Jimi Hendrix, The Black Keys, The Beatles, etc... these artists don't even start to scratch the surface of the broad range of musicians that keep us inspired every day.           Now I am proud to say that Saving Escape has play

Fabiano Millani

Fabiano Millani is a incredible artist who posts a lot of his work on Youtube. He speeds up his whole process so you can see what all he's done to his artwork in just under 3 minutes. He's a great person to look up when you're trying to learn to draw. Here's one of his art pieces:

Hyper-Realistic Art

Marcello Berenghi is one of my favorite hyper-realism artists. I have been a fan of him for a long time and I really enjoy his work. His hyper-realistic drawings are absolutely stunning and they inspire my art. The link to his youtube channel is below, where he posts time lapse videos of the creation of his artwork. https://www.youtube.com/user/marcellobarenghi

Flower

I took with the sigma lens a couple weeks ago while at school. I liked it because you can see each individual water droplets and how the one flower is the only one if focus

Contour Lines

In AP, we are working on contour line drawings. I really like this style of art because you can use simple lines to highlight and make a specific part of the photograph stand out. My favorite style is where they have simple one or two colored backgrounds with a lot of really thin lines. This way, you can use the lines and textures to make harsh shadows and structures.
As I am an exchange student, before I came here to Ohio, my organization made us a trip in Los Angeles, California. We went sightseeing around the city. On the first day we went to the Grand Central Market and had some food, then to the USC. We walked around the city and it was amazing. It was a long day and we were all exhausted and slept in the metro. And they woke us up at the Universal Studio! It was a surprise. The next day we went to Hollywood. It was crowded. We see the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame and many interesting things. In the evening we went to Santa Monica Beach, and that was stunning. I enjoyed it so much. There are some pictures of the trip and my friends.   http://vsco.co/ttasha_ts/journal/la

Movement, Passion, Art

Being a dancer myself, I view dance as an art form. Dance can portray many different emotions and stories. Whenever I see dance photography it blows my mind. The range of opportunities inside this subject make for thousands of original photographs and ideas. In a single picture a dancer can be seen as struggling or thriving. The dancer can be an over comer or a victim. The passion of a dancer can easily be portrayed through a simple photograph.

Light Table Animation

This video was created by an animator that I found on DeviantArt. The animation was first created from multiple drawings on a light table. Then, transferred and drawn digitally. I love the idea of original animation by drawing over and over again on paper and showing how it moves, but then making it digitally, showing how much is similar and different. The way they made this piece with a mix of old and new is inspiring!

Star Wars Digital Painting

I thought this photo was really cool because of the dark shadows created by the artist. The way Vader is shown with his followers makes for a very spooky photo.  The way that Vader is is presented with a larger image shows his dominance in the galaxy. FaZe Up.

Fish Eye Lens

I really like this picture because of the lens. I like how fish eye lenses bend corners and have a wide field of view. I also enjoy how the sky is detailed, but not the main focus of picture.

Portrait from Star Wars

I thought this image was interesting because of the overlay of characters and focal attractions. This is a really cool digital painting of the antagonists from Star Wars all stacked up in different positions and poses, as well as the fade of quality and increase in size as the characters move into the background.

Drone Video

I have always been fascinated by drones and some of the unreal shots that they can get, they take pictures and videos from viewpoints that can only be seen from airplanes and you can just carry them in a backpack and fly them with your phone, which makes this "bird's eye view" so easy to achieve. During our last football game, Josh Guckenburger had someone fly his drone above the field as we ran out of the tunnel and it was one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. The link is below if you guys want to check out the video and let me know if you think it is as cool as I think it is.

Happy Birthday AC!!

My post this week is dedicated to my lifelong best friend, Anna-Claire Barker. Today (September 13th) is her birthday!! Happy 17th, AC!! :) Having grown up together, I've seen her artistic talent grow with her as we've grown up. She started off being 10 times better than me at coloring in the lines of our Lisa Frank coloring book, and then that progressed into drawings and paintings. I've taken some photos for her to base her paintings off of, so you could say I contributed at least a little bit. Watching her grow as an artist as we've grown has been absolutely incredible. I thought her drawings were awesome when we were little, but seeing that talent develop into hyper-realistic paintings has been such a neat experience. AC, I'm so incredibly proud of you. You're doing great things and I can't wait to see where your art takes you. Happy birthday kiddo, I love you!! I'm attaching a few of my favorite works of hers for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy. :) -ES
I found this picture of the mountains online and I really like it. This picture shows that the mystery of the mountains is very creepy. The best part about this is the cozy cabin across the bridge and what it stands for. Clearly it's emphasizing the idea that across the bridge, the fall to your death, and the fog is a cozy comfy cabin where you will be safe and happy.

Harper

I thought this painting was pretty cool because I can relate to Bryce Harper. He plays for my favorite team and hits a lot of homeruns and I do too. So yeah.

Trash

I recently purchased this game on Steam called "Ravenfield". It cost a solid $15 which did not seem like a terrible price to me. But, after I purchased this game I realized after 5 minutes how trash it was. The game was laggy, not fun and overall dumb. I then emailed steam and asked for my money back (which I got). This just shows that you can never judge a book by its cover.  Ravenfield 2/10 FaZe Up

Summer Vacation Pictures

This past summer, I flew to Maine to visit my aunt. We flew out of Columbus so we could drive up early and watch my older sister graduate from The Ohio State University. Naturally, I took out my phone on the plane, at my aunt's house, at OSU, and everywhere in between. Although they aren't the highest quality photos because they were taken with an iPhone 6, I am really happy with the way they turned out. If you click the link below, you can see all the photos! http://vsco.co/meganeyoder/journal/vacation

Sunset

I chose this photo because it captures an incredible sunset with no filters or CC. This was taken from 1100 feet up with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro. The way the light comes through the clouds and forms this greyish green sky along with the bright orange background is amazing! My goal is to capture pictures from altitudes you normally can't get a normal camera up to! Hope you enjoyed.

Paintball Photography

I chose this photo for two main reasons; one being I love the sport of paintball, and the other being photography of paintball. Paintball photography is great for several reasons. Color contrast in paintball photography really makes every picture pop. Another reason is that each photo is in action. Not one photo is "staged". Each photo is in action, it's in the moment. Paintball is a fast adrenaline sport, not one dull moment. One of my main goals in photography/cinematography is to grow the sport of paintball. I want people to see paintball differently, to see through the lens that I see through.

HENRY HWU

I have been following a guy who goes by Henry hwu for over a year now. He does photography for many rappers and also does his own personal photography from landscape to self portraits. I kind of got inspired by him to try photography for the first time. He was able to turn a hobby into a career. which is super cool. Henry travels all over the world for a living, something I wish I could say for myself. Hope you guys enjoy his work as much as I do! I linked his Instagram and his blog if you want to check him out. http://www.henry-hwu.com/travel/ https://www.instagram.com/henryhwu/?hl=en

Facing Fears

It's been a stressful weekend for me between the ACT and work and school, so if you're the same as me, here's a nice video of kids getting their fears drawn by an illustrator. I really admire his cartoony style (and the kids are pretty funny too). Nowifyou'llexcusemeIhaveworktomorrowbye.

Your Not-So-Typical- Senior- Photos

Over the summer, I had been asked to take some of my friend's senior pictures. We discussed briefly of how we wanted this series of photographs to stand out from your typical senior photos. On the day of the shoot, we had 30-45 minutes, no location ideas, lots of awkward stares, and I almost made him later to his soccer practice! Anyways... here's a link to what we can up with! :)  If you clicked on the link, you will see our series of pictures called Culture. The name was Caleb's idea and I thought it suited the pictures perfectly. The idea for these photographs was to show his roots. The locations, the outfits, and the necklace were all representations of celebrating African culture.  All pictures shot on iPhone 7 Plus.   http://vsco.co/adelaineljelinek/journal/culture

David Sandberg

A year ago I saw the film Lights Out with a bunch of friends. After I saw the movie I found out the director, David Sandberg, had his own YouTube channel and posted short films and behind the scenes from the projects he has worked on. Lights Out  was his first Hollywood film and he has posted a lot about the process of making of that movie. He recently directed Annabelle: Creation and made a five-part series about directing.

Collages by Lerson Pannawit

Since we're doing digital collages in AP now, I thought I'd share some cool artwork I found recently! The artist's name is Lerson Pannawit, and he's a college art student based in Thailand. His website can be found here. Below are some of my favorite works of his!

cars

I chose this picture to share because it makes the car really pop. The leaves in the back blend perfectly with the deep red of the car. The reflection of the scenery off the black windows really catches the eye.

Gifs

Gifs are a great way to improve your animation ability due to their focus on the basic elements of animation. I love the style and complexity in these Gifs. I end up watching them for a long time, trying to find and take in all the little movements.

In a Heartbeat

I found this cute short animation and decided to post it in the hopes you all enjoy it as much as I did!
I found this short animation that I thought was really good and had really nice animation style. I chose to share this because I love animation and this one was well done. The animation was made by  ESMA - Quentin DELEAU Lucie FONCELLE, GOUDAL Maxime Julien PARIS, Sylvain ROBERT according to the description.
My Inspiration has to do with nature and animals. I look into their eyes and wonder what the world would be like through their own eyes. You look into someones eyes and you can see yourself reflect through their eyes. What would it be like to be a cat who has to fight to survive? What would it be like to be a dog with a rich owner? What would it be like to be someone else? What would it be like to be something else? What if you were an object? A pencil? A poster? I think that if I look through the other ways, their could be so much more hidden beauty than we think. Think about what's going through this cats mind. What if you knew what it thought? I think there is beauty in the unknown. There's beauty in whats to be discovered. There's beauty in the future. Now whats that cat going to do? That's for you to decide. This is where my inspiration comes in. Curiosity. Curiosity "killed the cat" but it also makes art so beautiful. Ann Hernandez - Photo: My cat

Photographer Samuel Greenhill

One of my greatest photography inspirations is Cincinnati-based photographer Samuel Greenhill. He photographs weddings, couples, and single-subjects (portraits). Greenhill's unique and daring style inspires me, with it's bold colors and captivating shoot locations, including the architecture and places around downtown Cincinnati. I aspire to develop my own style similar to his. Check out more of this work on his website!  Or Instagram: photosamyam
