Using Lasers in Architecture

These two houses were reimagined by Luftwerk, Iker Gil, and Oriol Tarragó to celebrate their creator, Mies van der Rohe. The artists used laser lights to accentuate the design of the building, and to connect it to it's environment.

  1. This is a very original and interesting idea that I have't seen before!

  2. This is a very unique way to show a design that connects to the environment, but I really like the way it is executed. Reminds me a lot of spy movies, where the spy has to go through lasers to get to there destination.

  3. This is so fascinating. I would have never thought lasers would accentuate the design but it really looks amazing.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love.
