I found this picture and I think it's very unique that the artist was able to use small abstract pieces and construct them in a way that portrays a shadow of Michael Jackson dancing when light is shined on it. The artist that created this miniature statue has a lot of patience to assemble all the little pieces into a that exact shape. Also the angle of the light makes the shadow look stand out on the wall, making it look even better.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I think it is very skilled and abstract how they did this. It makes it more clear of how little things can make a big picture.
ReplyDeleteGoing to be honest, the silhouette figure looks a lot like Michael Jackson. I do like the composition and the idea of playing with light and shadows.
