Steve Lacy is an artist/guitarist. He was nominated for a Grammy for his contributions on The Internet's album "Ego Death." Steve now makes his own music in his self-made genre, Plaid. His music represents himself in a very creative way. What inspires me is the fact that he uses his iPhone to make songs on Garageband. His latest EP "Steve Lacy's Demo" was produced on his phone. I love his creativity and his resourcefulness.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. This is pretty cool. I’ll give him a listen.
ReplyDeleteIt's sick that he uses his iPhone to create music because that's so accessible to smaller artists or people who want to start producing music
ReplyDeleteI love his style and the last picture is absolutely breathtaking. The way the light hits his face and the drummer peeking out in the background makes the picture more eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteI love steve, his music puts out a very creative and positive energy.
