This is a painting by a man named Wayne White. He is one of my favorite artists. He buys old paintings from thrifts stores and then paints funny, sarcastic things over them. This isn't his only work. He also worked on "Pee Wee's Playhouse" and created one of the Smashing Pumpkins music video art. I highly suggest you watch the documentary about him called "Beauty is Embarrassing".

    That's an awesome use for paintings from thrift stores! Good use of recycling old things!

    I love how the artist used creative techniques to twist the eye of the audience. It's so cool to be able to effectively do something like that.

    I like how the text looks like it belongs on top of the painting. The colors he uses makes it fit with the background very well.

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well.
