A couple months ago the Golden State Warriors unveiled what their "city" edition jerseys would look like for the 2020-2021 basketball season. The jersey design pays tribute to the old jerseys that they wore during the "We Believe" years when the team made a deeper playoff run than they had in many prior years. These jerseys are helping tie in the history of the Warriors organization, so that new fans can become informed of their history. These jerseys represent the idea of how I create my work, as I like to tie in certain objects or ideas that relate to generations of the past, making my work not only what meets the eye, but it also teaches people about the past beyond what can be found in history books.
I like how the new city jerseys have the same colors as the old jersey you mentioned, stays very true to the history.
