Lorraine Loots is the artist behind "Paintings for Ants." I truly admire her work not only because of the size she works with but the detail she incorporates into her pieces. She has an amazing story and I highly recommend visiting her website or Instagram. Below are a few examples of her work and her website link. http://lorraineloots.com/
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I think this is really unique way of drawing, and not many people can do that. I like how much the artist pays attention to detail. The size must be difficult to create.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is so cool! So much detail and color in such a small drawing.I wonder how long these take her to create?
ReplyDeleteSuper cool! There is so much detail put into them!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing how much dimension and life such a small piece of art can have. The attention to detail is what makes them so realistic
ReplyDeleteDude sick artist find!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy how small they are they really look photoshopped. I feel like her eyes should hurt after looking that closely at something for however long it would take to do that X.X Mine would
