Last DMA Blog Post!

I remember first taking Intro to DMA as freshman and immediately knowing that I wanted to take that class forever. I couldn't wait to take DMA I. And then I couldn't wait to take AP. And now that I'm at the end of all of it, it's hard to count the ways that DMA has shaped my life. I remember liking DMA because it was art that I couldn't do. Other art classes like drawing or painting used skills I had already been practicing, but I had never done anything like DMA. It was beyond challenging, as I am terrible with computers, but that's what made it so appealing. On top of that Mrs. Shields and Mrs.Barnes made their classes challenging to pass. In other art classes, I could float through, make a couple pieces, get a 98% and head home. With DMA I had to fight to get the grades I wanted. It was art that pushed me, and I loved it so, so much.

In the fall I am attending the Honors Tutorial College at OU to study Production Design and Technology. I hope to continue making art and learning new skills.

Currently my favorite SI piece is my newest one. It's made to reflect Coronavirus. Wash your hands! The quote on the hands and arms were taken from news articles about the pandemic.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. The Art Of Trevor Henderson

Hello everyone! today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite Instagram artists, Trevor Henderson! The reason why I like Trevor Henderson's art is that I really like how disturbing and creepy is art is. Here are a few examples of some of his art.
