Every year the Cincinnati Zoo teams up with SaveLocalWaters to raise money for water conservation. The zoo reviews and accepts submissions from local artists to paint rain barrels to be auctioned off. This project is a way to educate the public and raise money. I decided to contribute a barrel this year because my submission was accepted! I attached pictures of my (almost) finished barrel and also the link to the Save Local Waters website. I highly recommend submitting a design in the years following. There is an awesome group of people in charge of the barrels and it's for a great cause. I hope you enjoy!
The rain barrels will be on display at the Cincinnati zoo starting March 31st and the auction will be online April 9th and 19th.

I have heard about this project at the zoo before and think it is such a cool idea, it is even cooler that your entering in a barrel. At first I thought you were using an example as your picture but now I realize that that is yours! Your barrel is awesome and it will go for a lot of money for sure.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the colors on these rain barrels! I love the color, tint, and detail on the peacock. Awesome!
