Too Raw Meat-Like?

These are the two copies of my illustrator portrait. As you can see, I originally intended to use shades of red for the face. Unfortunately, it came out looking like raw meat. To make it more appealing to the eye, and less repulsive (Kinda looks like her face was removed), i used shades of blue instead. I think most will agree that it's an improvement.

  1. I agree, the blue looks a lot nicer this way. However, if you prefer the red color, it might look a lot better if you toned down the saturation to some paler shades.

  2. I like how even though you made the rest of this gorgeous girl's face blue, you kept the hair black and not a darker shade of blue. It leaves room for a bit more contrast. The eyes being black also helps with this I think. Good thing your subject was beautiful cause that also must have helped pull this together.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. Hello everyone! today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite Instagram artists, Trevor Henderson! The reason why I like Trevor Henderson's art is that I really like how disturbing and creepy is art is. Here are a few examples of some of his art.
