On August 28th, Warner Brothers released a new trailer for there movie called Joker. Joker played by Joaquin Phoenix shows us the origin story of one of the most beloved comic book villains on the planet. Joaquin Phoenix shows us Arthur Fleck, a failed comedian who helps out his sick mom. He takes jobs as a clown to help pay for his mother medical bills. One day at work, some thugs beat him up and start Arthur's transformation into the criminal mastermind that we know as Joker. Todd Phillips, the director wanted to give us a comic book movie without making it feel like we are watching a comic book movie. The movie is set to release on October 4th.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. ReplyDeleteI never liked the joker movies, I thought they were overrated. However, I like how this movie has a different take. I'm really excited!
