MANDALAS

Hey guys! So we started Illustrator this past week in DMA 1 and we were given the task of creating a kaleidoscope. When I started mine, Mrs. Barnes asked me what my theme was, and I said I was just going with the flow. After creating the center of it I realized it was beginning to look like a mandala so here are the pictures that I looked up for the inspiration of my piece!

And here's mine!

  1. Josh, I love all the work you do, but I especially love the intricacy and the small details in this piece. All the colors work cohesively and the pattern is complicated but not hard to look at. Good job :)

  2. I love your use of gradients here, it gives it depth. Your color scheme works well too, and I like the white stroke.

  3. I think you really have an eye for intricate detail. Not to sound too T-Hicks, but you almost have to focus your mind to notice all the detail in the mandala; it's very beautiful.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. The Art Of Trevor Henderson

Hello everyone! today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite Instagram artists, Trevor Henderson! The reason why I like Trevor Henderson's art is that I really like how disturbing and creepy is art is. Here are a few examples of some of his art.
