Natural Act

Welcome back to school I guess.

This is a series of collages that was created by Istanbul artist Merve Özaslan. The title is "Natural Act", which is supposed to give a description of the mixture of nature and city life. I posted some pieces that used similar technique last year, because I think the mixture of black and white vintage photography and more modern patterns or landscape photos gives a really interesting composition and final product. The emphasis of the colors in the "background" photos really adds to the piece.

  1. I like the black&white effect with the actual color.

  2. I LOVE THESE! I like how the artist used pictures to replace the water and in turn used water to replace the sheet!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love.
