The Last Door is an independent episodic point-and-click horror/mystery game. It's fueled by donations, releasing each chapter to people who've donated first, but as of now it is free to play. The game itself is pixel based, and gives the player an experience through ambient noises and music, challenging puzzles, as well as an enthralling story line. The story draws inspiration from authors like H.P. Lovecraft, and Edgar Allan Poe, while still maintaining a very original feel. The game is browser based, and can be found here. (you need to sign up to play, this is so they can keep track of people who've donated) I highly recommend you try this game, and, if you like, it maybe even support it. If you decide not to try the game, you should at least listen to the soundtrack, which is equally as impressive as the game, by itself.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I have played these games, they are very eerie and give off really good atmosphere, especially impressive since its very simplistic with pixel art
