Steve McCurry

One of my favorite photographers is one by the name of Steve McCurry. A Pennsylvania native, Steve studied film at Pennsylvania State University before he worked for a newspaper company. Steve then began to travel to places in Asia with just a camera to begin his photography career. In 2004, Steve founded a company called ImagineAsia. This nonprofit organization partners with world and even local leaders to help underprivileged children in Afghanistan receive education. 

Steve's work ranges from beautiful, untouched landscapes to portraits capturing genuine emotion.  Steve's photography is most notable for the clever way he captures raw emotions and experiences in real time.

    I love how in each photo the color of the eyes of the child is enhanced using the colors in the landscape.

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. Malena Bozzini         Malena Bozzini is a sophomore college student studying psychology. As her passion she is an artist. Her work is so original and abstract in order to dramatize her figures. She creates art out of emotion and uses her feelings to choose color and shape. One of the most interesting facts is that all of her pieces are done with colored pencils. Her art is so expressive that each piece gives out its own vibe. What makes her art unique is that it is inspired by motion and gestures.
