Jessica Claflin Pet Portraits

Jessica Claflin is a pet portrait artist who started her work because she lost a furry friend who was very dear to her. 2 weeks after her dog passed, she picked up a paintbrush and began to paint a memorial for him and from her loss, she has found her true passion. Jessica's portraits are full of bright colors and bring out the personality in all of the pets she paints. She is a very inspiring artist and I look up to her strength and her talent. This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. Malena Bozzini         Malena Bozzini is a sophomore college student studying psychology. As her passion she is an artist. Her work is so original and abstract in order to dramatize her figures. She creates art out of emotion and uses her feelings to choose color and shape. One of the most interesting facts is that all of her pieces are done with colored pencils. Her art is so expressive that each piece gives out its own vibe. What makes her art unique is that it is inspired by motion and gestures.
