My favorite entertainment company, A24, is producing a new film called Mid90's. The film was written and directed by Jonah Hill and talks about what it's like to grow up in the 1990's. The main character, Stevie, has a troubled home life and begins to find his way as he becomes a teenager. I really enjoy this trailer and the cinematography, from what I've seen. In most shots, everything is a neutral color, with a slight pop of color somewhere within the frame. I think that pop of color represents the youth and innocence that Stevie contains, despite his corrupt and bland surroundings. I can't wait to see this film in theaters!
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love.
