Shadow FIgure

I found this picture and I think it's very unique that the artist was able to use small abstract pieces and construct them in a way that portrays a shadow of Michael Jackson dancing when light is shined on it. The artist that created this miniature statue has a lot of patience to assemble all the little pieces into a that exact shape. Also the angle of the light makes the shadow look stand out on the wall, making it look even better.

Google Line Doodle

I really liked this Google doodle because of the various lines and shapes. I find every Google doodle very interesting because every artist has a different style and yet the message is still conveyed. The typography and lines guide your eyes across the piece. The composition balances the piece well and evenly distributes the subject matter.
I really like this image, and it is basically what I am going to do for my Me, Myself and I project
I shoot mostly on 35mm film, especially when I do portraits like I did this weekend with Chloe Bernard and Addie Jelinek. I've been using old Canon lens from the 50's onto my newer camera since it's much easier to use than the original Canon IV Rangefinder camera the lens belongs to. It's awesome for doing portraits because it's sharp, easy to use, and the depth of field looks amazing. Here's some of what I got this weekend:

Pascal Campion

I stumbled upon some of Pascal Campion's work on Pinterest a few months ago while looking for inspiration. I admire the amount of warmth and human emotion in his artwork, along with the wide range of textures used in the backgrounds. In many of the nature-centered settings, Campion uses a soft, kind of spongy brush. In contrast to that, in the city, the brush strokes are a little sharper and more structured, but never to the point of looking harsh. According to his website ( http://www.pascalcampion.com ), Campion is inspired by his family, along with moments and experiences that bring him great satisfaction.

Brandon Woelfel

A photographer that I thought was really creative and inspiring is Brandon Woelfel. I discovered him on Instagram when I was scrolling through my page. I would say he is mostly know for his use of light and pattern in his photographs. He has a luminescent style that has many pinks and blues. He makes the audience experience serenity. He published a photo book called  Luminescence in 2017 at the age of 23.  " Communicating across various cultures, we’re able to break through language barriers and share our experiences through images. I think it’s important to note that if you truly love what you do, then achievements will follow. Working every day to realize that you can always improve will keep you ahead of the game.” - Brandon Woelfel   Instagram - @brandonwoelfel Twitter/YouTube - Brandonwoelfel

Contemporary Art Center

I have always wanted to visit the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati. The have cool rooms with different styles and themes. This museum has sculptures, photography, architecture, performance art and new media.

Mid90's Official Trailer

My favorite entertainment company, A24, is producing a new film called Mid90's. The film was written and directed by Jonah Hill and talks about what it's like to grow up in the 1990's. The main character, Stevie, has a troubled home life and begins to find his way as he becomes a teenager. I really enjoy this trailer and the cinematography, from what I've seen. In most shots, everything is a neutral color, with a slight pop of color somewhere within the frame. I think that pop of color represents the youth and innocence that Stevie contains, despite his corrupt and bland surroundings. I can't wait to see this film in theaters!

World and Humanitarian Photographer, David duChemin

Though based in Canada, photographer and best-selling author, David duChemin, leads a pretty adventurous and nomadic life. He has traveled to and documented all 7 continents - over 55 countries for his work. Such a lifestyle enables him to keep capturing pictures, creating portfolios, and writing about the process - its tips and tricks, as well as how to grow in one's skills. His photography is revolutionary in that it captures people, events, and ideas of culture, lifestyle, hardships, and triumphs from many different parts of the world. You can check out more of his works and his story by clicking here . Below I've highlighted some of my favorite photographs he has taken. Many more from his travels can be found on his website!

Oil Paint

This is a oil painting of a lion that I really liked. I like the way that the oils blend so that some colours are indistinguishable from where one starts and the other ends.
Detroit: Become Human is a game created by Quantic Dream, directed by David Cage. It's a choice-based game taking place in Detroit, 2038. Androids have been created to take over everyday jobs, like housekeeping, and construction, but something wakes up within them, known as deviancy, where the androids develop emotions and minds of their own, and make their own decisions against the humans' commands. Follow three main characters, whom are all androids, Markus, Connor(above), and Kara, who each in their own way fight their demons, and tackle human oppression against androids, and prove that they are more human then they are machines. I would absolutely recommend this game if you haven't played it already.
I found this photo when looking for inspiration for the camera project we did. I found so cool how using Photoshop you can take pictures and edit  things to make something impossible seem so real. And when doing this to a photo myself I realized how hard it can be to edit the object said person was sitting on to make the area blend in with the background

Contour Drawing

I found this contour drawing when looking through examples and thought it was really cool.  I really like how the did the cord and plug it looks real.

Flower Boy Album Art

Below is the album art for Tyler the Creator's latest album, Flower Boy. The designer of the album art is Eric White. I really enjoy the color schemes Eric used throughout this piece, as well as the details in the flowers and clouds.
colorsbynet one of my biggest inspirations as an artist has always been a guy names garrett. he goes by the handle colorsbynet, and he's done cover art for some of my favorite musicians. here's some of his art:
This man, IS AMAZING! Aaron Griffin is an artist from the UK who specializes in digital painting. I found him on Art Station which is a website and app for artist to show off their work.  https://aaron-griffin.artstation.com/   What I like about him, other than how talented he is, is how many different things he paints. My personal favorite is the blue jay. It just blows my mind.
These pictures are by an 18 year old artist who publishes her art under the nickname Tamaytka. I really admire how much detail she puts into her art. The colors are always very muted with bold shapes and characters.  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tamaytka/

Jerry Uelsmann

Jerry Uelsmann is an american photographer known for his "visual poetry" in his work. He is seen as a precursor to Photoshop for his work in darkroom effects with combining multiple negatives to create new images.    "Most photographers carry many cameras with multiple attachments. Most photographers have one enlarger. I have half a dozen." Uelsmann, despite the technologies we have today, continues to use this method when creating his work.   http://www.uelsmann.net/about.php

MANTRA

MANTRA by Bring Me The Horizon has become one of my favourite songs as of late. The lyrics by themselves make a lot of sense when you listen to them, for example "All you do is chant the same old MANTRA" (basically the basis to the whole song). Its about breaking social norms and making yourself ultimately the person you want to be. It's more heavy metal and grunge than what most people listen to, but I personally love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvZxPWmnqeo

Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac Artwork Here's a couple pieces of fan art done by various artists for the popular 70's band, Fleetwood Mac. All the details and color schemes that these fans created for these pieces is very intriguing to me, I love the psychedelic and dramatic style to these pieces.

Jessica Claflin Pet Portraits

Jessica Claflin is a pet portrait artist who started her work because she lost a furry friend who was very dear to her. 2 weeks after her dog passed, she picked up a paintbrush and began to paint a memorial for him and from her loss, she has found her true passion. Jessica's portraits are full of bright colors and bring out the personality in all of the pets she paints. She is a very inspiring artist and I look up to her strength and her talent. I highly recommend checking out her Instagram @jess_c_pet_portraits or her website  https://jesscpetportraits.com/
