@elie

I found this photographer a couple of years ago on Instagram and have loved his work ever since. Elie started taking pictures in 2013 with his iPhone, not taking it to a more serious level. He then began to pursue photography as his page started to gain more and more attention. Since then, he has photographed Selena Gomez, to Drake, to even Star Wars. Elie shows a range of different styles of photography in his work, drawing in a wide variety of admirers.

  1. These photographs are very cool and interesting to look at. The picture of Drake is my favorite!

  2. I love the vintage feel to these photographs. I love the one of Drake because of the light leaks. It is also really cool to see the background characters of Star Wars because you don't often get a chance to look at the details and the craftsmanship that goes into making one of the extra's costumes.

  3. I like how all of the pictures capture the essence of the content and how the photographer is able to adjust to the style of the person.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

 If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
