Chris Burkard

Chris Burkard is a landscape photographer based out of California. I love the work that he does because he has been able to take photography into new things like being a speaker and a director. He was one of my inspirations in picking up photography as well. He actually made a movie about his adventures called Under an Arctic Sky. I highly recommend checking it out. Here are some of my favorite shots he has made over the years.

There was nothing to say... and everything to be felt.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out what photographers favorite photos are. Just look at what they love most.

Son & wife at home in Pismo Beach, CA last winter.

I'm smiling so big right now. After two years of work our film 'Under an Arctic Sky' is officially available for download across the globe. I'm honored to present this body of work that so many people worked to bring to life. This film was never about us.. it's about the message of following what you love & embracing the mishaps along the way.
.

Please watch it, share it & I would love to know what you think. Download link in my bio or here: http://geni.us/UnderAnArcticSky

PS - if you can leave a review on iTunes or wherever you download I would be so grateful!

You will never feel alone in the world under a clear New Zealand sky.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
