AP Concentration

In AP DMA we are starting to get into our concentrations for the AP exam So, for my concentration I decided to focus on portraits in abandoned buildings. The reason I decided to this was to contrast the difference between the urban decay and the beauty of the model. I took my first selection of shots last weekend at a location I do not know the exact name of but it was a super cool and creepy abandon building. For my model I used my girlfriend Maddi and we had tons of fun shooting at this location. Luckily this building brought in lots of natural light which was perfect since I did not have much equipment with me. Below I will attach a few shots from this weekend.

  2. The shadows with the natural light in the first picture is really dope! The background is also really intriguing.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
