An Australian street artist named Buff Diss creates non-destructive graffiti. Unlike normal graffiti artists Buff Diss doesn't use spray paint or ink, he uses tape that can be easily removed anytime. The graphic nature of these works allow for great use of negative space.
The graphic design concepts here are cool because it's almost like a doodle blown up into a very big, unusual location.

ReplyDeletethat must take so much time doing that all with tape. smart as well so if someone doesn't like it they can take it down. thats really artistic
ReplyDeleteI love how he has a repeated pattern in all of his graffiti that it seems like the main point is breaking out of (like the person in the first picture). I also really liked how he used the wall to aide his art like in the third picture where he had the boat on top of the lines already in the wall. I think this would take a lot of time to do all those details with tape but what e did was really cool.

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing that the artist used tape to create these pieces because of how much detail is used. The repetition of the pattern in each piece makes it more interesting I think along with the negative space used.
