This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. A collection of inspiration...
The macro lens is very interesting because it allows us to see small things up close. Kind of like a microscope, but not that close...obviously. For instance, while it would be hard to see with our eyes alone, the macro lens allows us to see all the details of this reptile's eye. Not to be facetious, but has anyone ever been stung by a bee or wasp while trying to take an up close picture with a macro lens? This is one of the important questions that we should all be asking. If you happen to have a detrimental encounter with an insect while attempting to take a photo of it, please let us know.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to be able to see something this small in such detail!! I find it especially interesting that the pupil is pure black, almost like a tiny black hole.
ReplyDeleteI find the depth of field in this picture amazing. Being so close up, you would think everything would have the same focus. But with just a miniscule difference in distance from the camera, the image becomes warm and blurry.
ReplyDeleteWOW WHAT A GREAT PHOTO! I like the colors and how clear it is and how detailed it is and how the eye looks like a keyholeeëéė
