Hi, I'm Kali Whitaker, I'm in 6th and 7th bell DMA I class. Okay so I found these on pintrest and google and I wanted to post them here as my first post. I love the human body, especially in grotesque situations. The shading of the bones is gorgeous in these pictures. You can see the texture of the bones, seeing how they are not smooth in all of their places. Check out more work by Vincent Castiglia (http://vincentcastigliaart.com/). Shading is my favorite thing to do in any media, it is what really brings everything together. I hope this is not triggering in anyway, I chose the least gory ones I can find.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. ReplyDeleteI really love the beauty in these photos. I agree with everyone's assessment that the human body makes for some striking artwork, and these pieces are no exception. Thanks for sharing!
