When we visited the Taft Museum I chose a piece to do my project on a piece that had a lot of contrast. That piece inspired me because of the interesting choice of lighting along with the placement of the body. My piece that I'm creating off of that is going to be an image with very high contrast as well. Here's some images that I really like the look of. I will be working with lighting and placement just like the artist of the painting.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. I love the shadows in these pictures and the contrast between light and shadow areas.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful I especially love the way the shadows fall and cover the features of the woman in the second picture
ReplyDeleteI love how the shadows add more feelings to each picture like how the artist wanted the viewers to feel about it.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cool to see the light emphasizing a different part of the body in each piece. I also like how the artist used different age groups of for models for variety.
