Lipz

I find the look of the lip melting very visually appealing. It kind of looks like blood which fits with Halloween coming up!

cool graphic art

I really like this artwork, this art shows all the possibilities you can do with photoshop. You can do so many cool thing and I love it.

Concentration

For AP drawing this year i am doing * different pieces based on the same idea. High School stereotypes. Each drawing will be done in colored pencil and done of a current Kings High School student. Here is what i have so far. Kalee Adkins  Bryson Wires

Evolution of Glasses

Hey guys it's Morgan and for my post I decided to share this really cool video by BuzzFeed. I think what makes this video interesting is that it shows how men glasses/sunglasses have changed throughout history. The costumes, music, and acting make this video really worth seeing!

Oh no

Surprise it's me a day late. I thought I'd share some artwork of a girl named Amy Lynn Fallat that I met at SCAD. She does sketches like this and posts them on Facebook lot, I think they're with pen or fine point sharpie. Either way they're amazing and intricate and so much attention is given to detail. Also I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post her pictures from Facebook on here but I'm going to do it anyway!  I wish I could draw RIP.

Lines

Hi all! I found this interesting concept on Pinterest and had to share. First off I've noticed I'm kind of obsessed with lines in many pieces that I've done and this theme of contour lines really stood out to me. I love the dimension and structure feel lines give to a piece. In these pieces the contrast between the delicacy of dance and the harsh lines is amazing and really draws the eye. The fact that all of the lines are developed from one point really takes your eyes through the piece and you follow the depth of each shape around the dancers. It's as if they're frozen and the lines are holding their pose to take the picture.
I think this is the coolest thing ever. I can barely get a grip on how he managed to do that, its incredible. The skin must have been so hard to create the transparent effect.

Calendar Ideas!!

Hi DMA people, Im currently working out some differently creative calendar ideas. I have a few inspiration ideas were and if anyone had any comments or ideas going forward that would be appreciated!

Biff Diss

An Australian street artist named Buff Diss creates non-destructive graffiti. Unlike normal graffiti artists Buff Diss doesn't use spray paint or ink, he uses tape that can be easily removed anytime. The graphic nature of these works allow for great use of negative space.

Forced Perspective Fun

Hey guys there was just this awesome forced perspective done and I just had to show it. I just love the use of the camera and how they were able to take this shot. The lighting and the coloars work really well together, which is shown through the depth of details, and with a good shot of the background.

Flower Power

I found this artist on Instagram who uses flowers and plants to create clothes for girls. I really love how she draws the girls and combines something 3-D with it to give it an added effect and I also like how creative the idea behind it is and all the different combinations that are possible. To see more her Instagram is @moomooi

Love this video!

I like this video because I love the choreography and I think the different shots are really cool! It really kinda puts it into this day in time were there are many different cliques in school when all actuality, everyone is equal!
I like this picture of the court because of the effect put on it to make it look 3D.
This is a recent creative video that caught my attention while I was on a random youtube video spree. I really like how creative and outside the box this video is. They probably had to take a lot of time to determine what they would use for the different objects in order for it to feel realistic

Water Cup Doodle

What a fun way to sketch/ doodle! This is perfect for us indecisive designers!

Macro Photography

This is a really cool macro image of a dandelion.  I love how some of the seeds in the center are already blown away so you can see the detail in the seed pod, and how you can see the individual fuzzes even more up-close than you can in real life!  I also like how the background color matches the seeds that the fuzzes are attached to.  The photographer used the rule of thirds too!  Anyway, I just really love macro photography!
Someone created this digital painting and sent it to m friend who was the Master of the House in Les Mis this weekend. I thought it was really cool that they did that. I like that they used so mole lines and more block colors, there aren't a ton of details but you can still tell it looks exactly like him. I also really liked the lighter color scratches behind the people. It didn't draw focus but it kept it from being boring.

Color palette

I like these images on how the color scheme is shown for you. It makes for an interesting concentration. I love how the colors are so closely related to nature in each image

Epic Segway Dance

I think Digital Media Arts needs one of these mini segways to use for filming.   (Notice that the camera man is on one while he is filming these shots.)
Last year, Pepsi hired some street artist to help them create a picture that represents a player for their World Cup add. Here are 3 of the pieces they made, featuring Messi, Van Persie, and Sergio Ramos.
This is my double exposure its of my friend Savannah. Instead of combining two photos like most people did I combined three. The photo on the neck is of an orchid tree and the one on the face is of downtown Cincinnati. I think the two photos work really well together, and I'm happy how it turned out.

American Sniper Homemade Trailer

Check out this well organized and creativity of the camera crew.  I thought that the angles and after effects were well achieved.
Shepard Fairy is a street artist and one of my favorites. He has posted his art all over the U.S even in Cincinnati.

Information in the human mind

I really like this image because it really emphasizes the amount of information humans have in their minds and how this image really creates a story.
Young The Giant is one of my favorite bands. Every Thursday of October they post a video of them playing a song (in the open) and i think this is very cool and original

Watercolors

I really like these paintings and the use of watercolors because they really emphasize the paintings as a whole and they're very interesting pieces.
I really like this concept of making a photograph look like a painting. The artist paints the person in whichever way they want then take a photo and it look exactly like a painting. I feel like it would be really cool and fun to try something like this, but also a little messy. Oh well!

gigi hadid shoot

I personally have a huge interests in modeling, fashion, and magazines. I've always loved how the photography in magazines is always odd, and the staging, makeup, outfits and poses are extreme and nothing you'd emulate in real life. In this shoot, I love the background contrasted with the tailored look of her clothing and the grungy, somewhat dark and muted color scheme with a lot of emphasis of shadow. I love the filters, color balance and setting.

Dwayne Wade

The parts that really caught my eye were the colors on the jersey. they are really detailed. They really show the difference in light and dark and they show how imaginative the artist got to add color to the shadows.

14 year old artist

Hey everyone! This week the AP DMA class is starting on their concentrations! This is defiantly a foreboding process so I did some research and while shuffling through Pinterest I found this fourteen year old. His name is Zev and he creates these photographs with the help of his sister. These really caught my eye because of the storybook element that they give off. There is something familiar about looking at these pieces, almost like reading your favorite picture book.    -Mackenzie

LONG EXPOSURE LIGHT DRIP TREE THING

Hey peeps! This week I wanted to share with you some photos I found on twitter by Vitor Schietti. He uses long exposure to capture these epic pictures. It literally looks like light is dripping off of the tree/ the tree is a cloud and is raining down light, idk I thought these were really amazing and wanted all of you to see!

Amazing photography 😍😍

This is my good friend Aaron's work he is a great photographer I love his editing is flawless I'll link his website if you would like to check out more of his work http://ampphotography.zenfolio.com/

Graffiti

I really liked this photo because it directs focus to the graffiti on the wall while everything around it is black and white. I also liked the different designs within the face because it seems like they almost tell some sort of story about the person in the painting.

Digital Collage

Hey guys, so today I wanted to share probably my favorite technique in digital art: digital collage. Some of you may have already heard of this, but if not, there are some examples below. They show depth and tell a story. Lately I've just been geeking out about them and I thought I'd share.
