This is a painting by a man named Wayne White. He is one of my favorite artists. He buys old paintings from thrifts stores and then paints funny, sarcastic things over them. This isn't his only work. He also worked on "Pee Wee's Playhouse" and created one of the Smashing Pumpkins music video art. I highly suggest you watch the documentary about him called "Beauty is Embarrassing".
That's an awesome use for paintings from thrift stores! Good use of recycling old things!

ReplyDeleteI like how the text looks like it belongs on top of the painting. The colors he uses makes it fit with the background very well.
