Goodbye

Hi everyone, Carissa Kloeker here. These past two years of DMA been fun, though I may have had time that I struggled through it but I still managed to make it through these two years. I have Mrs. Shields to thank for where I am today, I have ran into a lot of problems over the years. But, I have also had a lot of good opportunities over the two years. Some of the pieces I have created this year have amazed me, I never thought I could make something like that. Just like my concentration I never thought it would turn out as well as it did, but I never gave up on any of my work and I continued to push myself to my limits. Now, I will be attending Sinclair, in the Visual Communications program. So, now its time to say goodbye to high school and DMA. I have to start a new chapter in my life with new obstacles that I will have to over come, but I will continue to push myself and never give up. Good Luck to the in coming juniors into the AP DMA class, never give up on anything and just continue to to push yourself.

P.S. I will miss everyone and hope everyone continues to make amazing work, just as you have this year.

So, now its time to say goodbye everyone.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
