Portfolio website

I was on Pinterest looking at portfolio layouts since we are making our websites this week and found this pin. This website has questions and answers about what to consider and avoid when creating an online portfolio and I thought it could be helpful.

  1. This article is super useful. I think Shields should show this to her next class to avoid the rush at the end of the year when all of our websites sucked XD

  2. This website is pretty helpful since most of us have never done anything like a resume, website or portfolio

  3. This article is a real eye-opener. Creating an online Graphic Design Portfolio can be a truly daunting experience. One would assume that since being a graphic designer, one would automatically create masterpieces when creating that profile. I love that it’s giving pointers on how to get all of the designer’s vision out there and how to really personalize the interaction with a potential client. Such a great read!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
