See Ya DMA!

Well, I can't believe I'm here. It's a crazy how this chapter of my life is closing. DMA has been such a wild ride. It's really been really fun and filled with laughs and victories. I've loved creating art over these past 2 years, and expanding my skills. I've created things I've never thought I'd be able too. My favorite thing I've created is probably my sustained investigation. Which was all about the fictional characters who inspired me. Here is the Black Canary piece (sometimes called Spikeball), the Leia piece, and the Scarlet Witch piece.

Even though I'm sad this chapter is ending, I'm very excited for my next chapter. I'm going to OU for an Acting BFA and an English BA. I'm really sad to be leaving DMA behind me, but very excited to continue on in my journey.

See Ya Later!

  1. This is so sad I can remember you sitting next to me in Dma 1 trying to photoshop out something that was on your wall in the lights picture and it just wasn't working. It's so crazy that that was almost 2 years ago! I'm going to miss you!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
