Sayonara DMA

At the time I am making this post there are approximately 11 days until graduation. I cannot believe how fast my high school career went by. So many ups and downs and memories I want to remember forever. I remember when I was a freshman thinking that 4 years would take forever. I was very very wrong. Thinking back to my memories as an underclassmen feel like they were just yesterday. I hope the person reading this takes this into account unlike how I did and makes the most out of your high school experience. That all being said, it's too late for me so I will talk about my next step out of high school.

I will be attending the University of Dayton to major in Graphic Design. I spent my sophomore through senior year focusing on my passion for digital design in all aspects. I started my journey with the Intro to DMA class my sophomore year where I fell in passion. I learned how to use the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Animate where I thrived in my projects. I then went through the courses to make my way to AP DMA where I thrived the most. I created the DMA t-shirt for 2020-2021, I developed a sustained investigation that won a silver key at the Scholastics Art & Writing competition, created the Gameday graphics for the Kings Baseball team for every game to be posted on Twitter, and I received commissions for social media rebranding, logo design, joined an eSports design team, got sponsored by GamerSupps, created multiple sponsorship announcement animations for large content creators, and so much more.

I am currently in the process of working with my first business to design the merchandising for the workers and creating a skin wrap design for the NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Camry. I am extremely excited for what I have to come and plan to continue my path and do huge things in the future. Thank you to everyone who supported me, especially Mrs. Shields for guiding me in the right direction. Thank you, DMA, and good luck to new students and students continuing down the DMA path.

If you want to keep up with me here is my website, Behance portfolio, and my Twitter account for everything about me and my projects!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
