Jon Bellion is an American singer songwriter, and some might even categorize him as a rapper as well. Bellion has been around since about 2013 when he dropped his first album, "Translations Through Speakers". Since then, not only his music, but also his album cover art has captivated people. The art is never the same type of art. The covers range from something resembling an impressionistic painting in "The Definition" to advanced technology in his newest album "Glory Sound Prep". The Covers tend to draw inspiration from the songs in the album and Bellion's mind. His merchandise also mirrors his unique styles that pertain to his album covers.

Comments

  1. I really like the art on these covers! I personally haven't listened to his music but my biggest pet peeve is when an album cover looks super cool and the music absolutely sucks.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
