Shown is the album cover for Kanye West's 8th studio album, "Ye". Kanye himself took this photo on his iPhone while on his way to the album's listening party. He then added the text in a font that seems almost handwritten and in a color that both complements and contrasts the background. This goes to show the beauty that can be found in simplicity.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I like the album cover but is the music any good?
ReplyDeleteI've heard a few songs from this album and they aren't bad. I didn't know he took the cover from his iPhone and I think that really makes the album more personal.
ReplyDeleteI really like the album cover and I also didn't know he took this photo. Thank you Kanye, very artsy.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of Kayne's best albums and I didn't know he took this picture on his phone. That little fact relates to the everyday person.
