WandaVision

If you haven't heard, the first Marvel Studios Disney+ show has been released. It's called WandaVision and seems like a wonderful superhero themed tribute to the sitcoms of the past, but things aren't what they seem.
It a Truman Show style dark things show this isn't the cheery sitcom it portrays itself as. I would highly recommend it based on the special effects alone. They do really cool effects where black and white transitions to color, color objects are in frame when it's black and white, and they have specialized intros based on the decade the show is in. One of my favorite choices is when characters are discovering something suspicious, they change the cameras angle from typical sitcoms ones to different close-ups and wide shots that sitcoms can't\won't do. I highly recommend it. It will confuse you and intrigue you. Also if you want to see incredible shifts in acting styles, I highly recommend it.

  1. I've been meaning to watch this, but I've heard some lackluster things about it recently. I hope that as the series progresses they make more progress with their audience.

  2. I really thought in the beginning that this show sucked but it really has changed my mind in only 2 episodes. Big fan now.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
