Billie Eilish: Music Videos

You either love her or hate her, but you can't deny how cool Billie Eilish's music videos are. Filled with so many special effects and dramatic angles, from "Bury a Friend" to "Watch" there isn't a dull moment. My favorite part of Billie's videos is that she comes up with ideas for them herself. Her videos easily depict what she is trying to say in each song, and her bold outfits and tame or loud locations keep you entertained and give you something to look at the whole time. I just like her range of styles. "My Future" is animation, "idontwanttobeyouanymore" is simple, and "Therefore I am" is just goofy. I just love her dark aesthetic.

  1. It's insane that she's only 18 and has achieved an unbelievable amount of success. I hope to see her keep succeeding in the future.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
