Goodbye Supernatural

With the final season of supernatural coming to a close and officially ending I thought I would take some time to talk about how the special effects and overall editing has improved greatly. For instance, when someone was to get possessed by a demon in the earlier seasons it literally looked like contacts were being changed and it looked like there was a cut in filming so it was less believable. However, in the later seasons, the editing got better and it doesn't look like there was a cut in filming to change contacts even if there was. However the show Supernatural has a tone problem because it can never stick to only one tone and it instead has several different tones throughout one season but that was also fixed in later seasons.

"Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more..."

  1. I unfortunately only got into the show at season 13 so I didn't get to watch the full story, but I really enjoyed the visual effects used in the show!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
