One of the best parts of the show Stranger Things is the retro title sequence at the beginning. I found this video on the development of the opening credits and the importance of the font choice made by the producers. It is interesting to see all the variations that were almost used and how they evolved the sequence from its conception to the final version. The font they chose perfectly encapsulates the retro nostalgia vibes of the show and is the reason why the opening is so iconic.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. This is very interesting. I'm amazed by how many font ideas they had and how they decided to pic the iconic retro-looking font.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy to think that that much work went into a title sequence. Another reason why this show is great.
