A year ago I saw the film Lights Out with a bunch of friends. After I saw the movie I found out the director, David Sandberg, had his own YouTube channel and posted short films and behind the scenes from the projects he has worked on. Lights Out was his first Hollywood film and he has posted a lot about the process of making of that movie. He recently directed Annabelle: Creation and made a five-part series about directing.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I saw a video similar to this on YT the other day after I saw the film. It was entirely behind the scenes special effects and stunt work, which was cool because you got to see how they did a lot of the fast action shots/death scenes :D

DeleteI went on a movie tour in Atlanta, Georgia that I would 10/10 recommend. I think you would really like seeing the real life sets that they filmed for big motion pictures such as, Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, Baby Driver, Pitch Perfect 3, etc. The tour guides talk a lot about how they did it and show videos clips from the movie while you are in that place where they shot it.
